Homemade Glass Bong

I want to create my own glass bong. I intend to use either a vase from somewhere like the container store or wal-mart to get a nice big bong; I am also considering the use of a cool wine bottle but I don't know if this would be ideal. I have read the glass drilling guide and done some research on the net about diamond bits and technique so I am not too worried about that, also I am going to use some sort of rubber grommet to make sure it is air tight.

I'm on probabtion for about 1.5 more months so I have plenty of time to plan this out and get everything, but most of my smoking has been out of glass pipes and blunts so I have never used a bong before. I am going to shop around the headshops for a stem/bowl piece, but I really don't know what to look for specificly, is there anything else I should be aware of before I attempt to create my own bong? i'm sort of a noob to bong making, but you should shop antique shops,yard sales, and flea markets and find a unique piece if you want more of a different bong, and buying a tube of silicone i hear is good for sealant

When I did made my first one I was pretty worried that I was going to crack it but It was alot easier than I thought it would be. I just used a dremel and these diamond coated bits. I marked the hole, then drilled a smaller one then made it bigger, Then I put the downstem in with the grommet and it worked great until I broke the bowl for it yesterday. But since then I have made around ten of them and a steamroller.

yeah a friend of mine has a glass bong that is from an old hot sauce bottle from firehouse subs. it is of the cobra all coiled up and you suck from thetop of the cobr'as head. its so fucking sweet just the bowl is small so you only get like 2 or 3 hits off of it.

if you have a burlington coat factory around you i've heard they have the sickest bongs there they just don't have a hole drilled in them.

i'm not really sure what your asking though.

use 2-ton epoxy to seal it.

and just shop around for the right bong. check homegoods, or like home decorating stores like that.
