Harvested Nugs From The Postman's Closet. Northern Lights

Ah at 80 days flower I figured it was about time I hack off some of my tastie Northern Lights buds. I took most of the larger tops, and left the smaller popcorn on the plant to finish up a bit. This plant leaned very sativa in growth, and yeah flowering time too LOL.. Top buds are dense as can be though, and coated in trichomes. I took a tester bud 3 days ago, and dry smoke is exceptional right off the friggin bush. Very sweet/fruity, but I'm loosing some of that to th freshness.. I'll give a better smoke report on the cured product, but right now it's damn good already.

Here she is right before harvest of most of her tops. if you look I got big dense nuggets on top, and then smaller popcorn underneith.. I already learned from this plant, and cleared all that shit off on the clones I'm flowering now.. This way all the energy will go to the tops, instead of the smaller popcorn.. We'll see. I was not expecting this strain to turn out so sativa, but I came to find out from another fellow grower nirvana is off with their flowering time on the NL, and it is a 10-11 week strain in his experiance.. I was expecting much more indica from Northern Lights. I do have another breeders NL so we'll see Nl has went through lots of change through the years.

The plant was grown in a 50/50 soil/perilite mix, and was fed with a flood/drain type auto pot system. Good organic pure blend pro nutes


Trim up was easy, and it will be put to some use in my cousins next brownie batch.. i trimmed nice and tight just for him as those leaves were coated in crystal

Oh yeah these nugs are straight head stash. Plant yielded about an ounce and half (we'll see when dry) of sweet tasting potent nugget. I'm sure a cure will do wonders for this strain.




This is the tester bud I dried, and smoked .. YUMMY. The high hit me like a truck. Nl is some powerful stuff. A good mix of head/body high with a taste that makes you want to smoke more

Pretty much yeah, just starting out indoors within the last 7 months, and harvested two rounds getting my feet wet.. I have to finish off my smaller clones, and now that I have mothers, and a good feeling for growing in the closet the next round is going to be GREAT.

I've grown outdoors throughout the years whenever possible, so I had an understanding of growing, and understood what had to be done inside to get them growing. I'm still learning though. A little more with each round I finish. Now that I know I can handle the stretch, and packing my closet with plants LOL. I'll now grow fewer plants, but grow them larger using the hieght I have available.

Thanks for checking out the harvest if your interested I have jounral in the journal section. Mr. Postman's overgrown closet... I'll be running my next rounds journal most likely in the same journal, but I'm not sure yet.. it's gets to be a lot to read, and many poeple skip the text, and ask questions over again. So I may start new as I start my next round after the clones are done finishing up.
