Yeah, that's the pretty common name. But, if you forget or they don't know what you're talking about just ask for "the little wooden box thing with the pipe that looks like a cig and stuff". If they're good at their jobs they'll know what you mean.

BTW- I'm glad this thread keeps popping up. It's nice to know the time I put into it was appreciated and that there's a life to this thread and that it's helping people. :-)

does anyone bother to clean there metal one hitter? (for example soak it in rubbing alcohol or anything) i have to done that with glass pipes, would it work for a metal bat? or not a good idea.

I bought a dugout and bat at the mart yesterday for 15 bucks. I am loving it, it gets me 3-4 good hits and really does conserve weed and its just flat out fun too smoke and its cool. I reccomend it to everyone.

my first dugout was badass, rasta staining, it was sick. it got confiscated one night when i got a little too careless, what sucks is i'd only had it for 2 days. it was 40 bucks with the cig bat.

Since i lost all my glass, i'd just been smoking when a piece was available, or i'd been making shitty homemades. Got tired of that, had to get a new one. everyone who complained about the cig bats getting too hot was right about the short one, but the long ones are only a big deal if you torch it for way too long or you load 3 or more bowls back to back. my dugout now is a cheap-ass plastic one, 12 dollars, but it definitely gets the job done.

Dugouts are the tits. i've been smoking a bowl out of it about 3 nights a week when i'm not out partying with other smokers, and i've still got about a g left from my pickup 3 weeks ago. I swear my dugout triples the bud you put in there. it lasts for fucking ever, much like the 8th i picked up about 6 months ago that got 2 people stoned every night for 3 weeks. talk about a miracle sack. It lasted with at least 1 good sized nug left until i told someone that it was the neverending sack, then it was gone in 2 days.

my dugout is my security blanket. i bring it with me everywhere, even if i know i'm probably not going to smoke. just the thought that it's there is a comforting feeling. the only point i disagree with the thread author is the bat. i'm sure most people on this board agree glass is the only way to go. if the weed is prepped right using a glass bat is no problem. if it's grounded down right a glass bat will load easily and give you a good consistent hit every time. this is extremely important when you're in a situation where you have to pick the right time to hit it. if you finally find the right time to sneak a quick toke only to find you loaded mostly stem and the opportunity is gone for sometime it is very disapointing. the point behind the dugout is stealth and convenience. and like people have mentioned it really stretches out your bag.

one thing i'd like to add is dugout hygiene. keep your bat clean to avoid untimely clogs and resin stink. again, the point is stealth and the smell of a dirty bowl is not inconspicuous. also drop your dugout in a bag of baby powder once in a while. it will leech out any oil from your hands and resin smell. it will deodorize it but once you open the weed chamber and the smell of bud hits your nose you will appreciate it even more!
