well finally happened (bong broke)


the inside part of the stem shattered when i was putting ice in it (there are no ice notches)

it wasn't an expensive bong ($30) but it was my first... should i bother fixing it?

i kind of want to get a better one (clear), with an ash catcher, and ice notches... maybe a molino? any suggestions? i want to spend a max $100 on it

never over look acrylic for a big bong and big hits for little money. i can get about a 3ft acrylic piece with notchs for ice for like 50 bucks. so you can get a 50 bag.

just toss some olive oil on the rubber and pull the busted downstem out

clean it out good check the drilled hole for any chipping if its all good hit up your headshop and get a 9mm downstem

all you gotta do is fold the rubber in on itself pop it in the hole push till it opens fully then spit on the downstem and wiggle it in to where you want

bam under 10 bucks bong fixed

Hell yeah, get another downstem if you want to keep your first bong. And yeah, check out the latter pages of the GC's acrylic bongs, I'd take that long 53cm thing any day of the week for what its going for...

yep and as for the ice catcher...simple

get yourself one of those metal coat hangers unwind the top and shape it into a stand

coil one end to hold your ice and coil the other looser but small enough to fit so it stands right next to the downstem with a wide coiled base just as the top is to keep it stable

load up and hit away

haha fixed the bong..... bought a $3.45 stem from the local gas station (they sell pipes and shit too)
