Question - Smoking and mental mess ups

I've been smoking pot for about a year a half now. The first four times I did it with friends, very little happened. The fifth time however, probabaly beacuse of the strain, I got incredibly high. The only problem was it caused something in the area of a panic attack. I had absolute irational fear for about 2 hours. At the time, it was the worst feeling I'd ever had in my life. After that, smoking turned normal, had some great stones, doing it about twice a week. A month and a half ago, I hot knived for the first time which caused me to feel the same way I did that first time, only tenfold. I knew what it was and rode the fear out until it passed. It wasn't so bad. The only problem was, a week later, the same irrational fears started appearing in my daily routine, and since then I have been in a complete fog of semi-fear and outofbodiness. I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences, especialy persisting ones, or if anyone could lend any advice. Thanks

I had panic once, I read about it and waited though it. HAsn't happened since. It was only when I started smoking, oh how I long for those days of getting so high I thought everything was a dream.....

Don't smoke so much if you have panic attacks.

I've never had a panic attack on pot, and I've smoked some very powerful stuff. The out of body experience you talked about could be depersonalization disorder. I've suffered from that my whole life, and pot is suspected to make it worse, or bring it to the foreground in those susceptible to it. Speaking from personal experience, pot makes my depersonalization worse, but not by much, and I can live with it. But for someone who's never experienced it, it would probably be terrifying. You may want to lay off the pot to see if it goes away.

On the other hand, you may have just gotten extreme stuff, and just not come down completely from it.
