smoking and usage

Ok, so I'm at a local bar with a few friends, just playing pool, drinking, making regular trips outside to smoke, and watching hockey. One of my friends (a girl) bums a smoke off this guy outside who's about 50 years old, and calls me out to split it with her. When I get out, the guy launches into this "oh, you get the girl to bum your smokes, huh? haha" routine. To make a long story short, I let all his shit slide with only a few smartass comments.

The guy gets a few more in him (I get more in me) and we both end up in the bathroom at the same time. As I'm trying to piss, the guy turns to me and says "whoa, I thought a girl was standing at the urinal" (I have hair past my shoulders). I say no harm, no foul. It comes with the hair, but don't you find it odd to see a girl standing at a urinal?? I leave the bathroom.

A little while later, the guy comes outside with his 4 buddies while I'm having a cigarette. Now I'm surrounded by five 50 year old drunk guys. Suddenly the guy says "you've been smoking the wacky tobbacky, haven't you?" So I say "what's it to you?" To which he replies "I can smell it, you shouldn't be doing that." I say "thanks for the advice dad, but did you actually see me smoke? " butt out my smoke, and start walking inside feeling that I shouldn't be taking all his shit. As I get to the door, the guy says "oh, he's a smart little shit, isn't he?" and his friends all laugh. I just turn around and say "see you inside."

I guess my buddies and I had him outnumbered if it came to that, but I like this bar, and I'm not about to kick some middle-aged guys ass. That just seems wrong. What do you guys think.

Sounds good that nothing bad went down apart from a bit of lip from the twat.. probs best not to bother getting in fights with dodgy old men.. lol

he was obviously looking for a fight, u did the right thing..

There's always the type of drunk who likes to fight. I find the best way to piss them off is to just not give them the satisfaction of fighting... I mean a fight is what they want, so it just annoys them when you don't give it to them.

Alternately, when he said he thought you were a girl, you could have bashed his head against the wall a couple of times, then when he was on the ground, you could piss on his face and say "Do I still look like a girl, bitch?"

Just a thought...it seems like something that would happen in a funny movie or something.

So do you think this guy is going to be coming to that bar a lot? I mean I think you have a couple of options on that front. Make sure you always have engough friends with you to out number his usual friends. Slide some brass knuckles in yo' jacket (I believe in self protection). Talk to the owner or manager of the bar. Tell him that you don't want any trouble and lay it out what's going on. He may get your back with the dirtbag.

I agree with bongwater, however i beat up my 47 year old dad when i was 17. Im not trying to brag but he started the fight, if someone starts a fight then finish it, its best not to throw the first punch just for legal matters.

i think you handled the situation very well, especially since you had been drinking smoking. When I am sober i tend to shrug off shit like that like well they are just drunk whatever its no big thing but after im under the influence of things i tend to make different decisions(haha weird i know) You never kno you might have been banned from coming there if you had fought so good restraint on your part. Man my hat is off to you for handling that as you did, i dont know mayb its not as big as it seems to me, I am pretty blazed at the moment and everything is taking on a lot of meaning. +rep bro

Yeah not to suggest I didn't want to crack a pool cue over this guy's head, but like I said, I like this bar, and plan to return. Any shit that happens is all up to this guy. Haha.
