Why do my parents still care?

Ive been smoking for a year now and my mom found my stash and took it a few months back, last week she finally told me she took it. I kno she smokes cuz ive found her stash etc and snagged a paper from her. But why the hell do they still care if i smoke i could be doing worse things to my body like drinking etc.. Everytime those damn truth commercials come on saying "if ur child smokes pot get help while u can" and then she always looks at me with that dumbass face. I think ima leave a nick bag on my counter so she realizes i still smoke and since she caught me the first time im still not going to stop. i wish i could just toke in my room.

I saw a commercial yesterday that said it's ok to be a hypocrit if your telling your kids not to smoke pot. Anyway, my mom still cares that I smoke pot aswell and it's been about a year, I told her that it's not screwing anything up, so Im gonna keep on doing it insted of drinking. I just make sure that I keep my stash out of sight, not hidden though, she never goes through my shit anymore. Out of sight out of mind

if you haven't given her a reason to think that you are being responsible about it, she'll assume you are being a typical teenager. if she smokes, she obviously knows it's not the devils handywork. talk to her straight next time a commercial comes on - tell her you haven't quit and don't plan on it, but that you are safe about it. what do you do to keep yourself out of trouble? tell her. make a point of not smoking and driving? tell her. tell her if you only smoke with people you know, or tell her you'd like to be able to smoke in the house, instead of walking to a buddys house. keeping things quiet keeps you out of trouble, and that should keep both of you happy.

i just talked to her and no matter what i still say she says its the worst thing and addicting.. i hate this shit. it really gets me mad why i have to hide it etc. i just ordered a bong from here and if she opens my box im going to be super pissed. weed is deff not messing with my life and im being more than safe about it, i still get straight b's in school. My father knows that I have smoked, but he used to be a big hippy back in the 60s, so he didn't really care. He was more concerned about me getting busted for it. My mother doesn't know and would probably flip her shit if she found out, but my dads got my back.

It sounds like all she's done is take your bud once, then not tell you. And you said she smokes herself. So... is she giving you a hard time about it? Or just ignoring the "issue"? I'm not sure what's going on...

My mom used to care like woah. But when I turned 18, I think she didn't mind that much. Especially after I graduated from highschool. I think now she knows that weed isn't that bad at all. She agrees that it's stupid that cops are mostly going after pot smokers. Also, she's seen my pipe just chillin in my room plenty of times, and never touched it. Basically, all I'm saying is, it took time and I had to prove to her that it's not bad. After all that, it's straight now.

HAH! sorry tp hear about that man ...me i dont hsave that problem my mom smokes it with me all the time and she lets me and my friends toke in the house. I love it sooooo much im kinda pissed tho my dealer was supposed to get me an eighth and he shows up with a fuckin dime and expects me to pay 15 for it.....oh well its good shit

Yah, I'm glad my mom stays out of my room. We respect each others space, its pretty neat.
