minor stoned ice accident

so i was out cruising this morning. i was pulling into the right turn curve and looking both ways when suddenly i lose control. i felt the car sliding toward a curb and was like...dammit. i wasn't going fast so it wasn't that intense. it was mostly just waiting for the inevitable to happen. but luckily, it ended a lot better than it could've. i hit and it felt real hard. i was like damn it... then i tested my transmission and it worked fine. i backed out and drove to a parking lot nearby. i was expecting damage, but it turns out the curb just hit my wheel. the tire is/was fine. only problem was the gray chevy wheel cover that came stock w/the car. a piece is missing and it's ruined. the car drives fine except i think there's a little pull to the left now and sometimes the steering wheel shakes a bit. this is better than what it could've been, but still sucks if the alignment is messed up now.

Im glad to hear you are OK! Its a very scary thing to loose absolute control. The feeling of helplessness is overwhelming. I hydroplaned once, a telephone pole stopped me. unfortunatly totaled my car, but I was OK. Sounds like you were lucky. Be careful just crusin around in such conditions! A lil piece of plastic is nothing, considering! *whew*

What car do you have? If it's rack & pinion you really fucked it up.

Hell no matter what it is you fucked it up with that hit...you put probably 80% of the cars total weight on one tire for a split second when it slid into the curb. Few thousand pounds in the completely wrong direction for a tire...lol not good.

Glad your ok but you better have a friend with proper training give it a once over before you take it on any highway. If it stressed any joints and they do happen to decouple or break as your moving...it won't be pretty when the tire juts out sideways off it's the axle an drags one side far slower...lol you make a hard turn an smash into whatever is there...

Been there done it... day off school a bump on the head and a few joints/pain killers and rum.

I have a similar story, but It was when I got out of the car. I opened the door and took one step out, and fell on my ass because of a patch of ice...

i never totally got out of control but one time..lol it was raining and my friend was in the car with me and i FIRST LOOKED for any on coming cars (i was very clear) and there was this turn that was a complete 90 degree turn...and i said to my friend.....

"watch this...."
so i intentially waited to turn late (go'n like fast WHILE RAINING AND 90 DEGREE TURN....I was going like 40 ) and i snatched the fucking wheel around ...and my car went completely sideways (by this time i'm internally freak'n out but i'm doing ok) and my car swearved again and again and again....and once more and then again.....but it was defiently INTENSE!! very fun but VERY DANGEROUS (it was day time)

kinda dumb thing for me to do....but oh well we all do things this dumb while were we are young

(btw i wasn't high)
