Ok this kid has stopped smoking pot as he found himself getting addicted and stuff (basically just the way he is) and he thinks that smoking pot is dirty and should just be limited to parties (which i half agree on but still think hes wrong)...

you decide how much is enough for you, nobody else. If he doesn't like the limit you've chosen for yourself, then he can go fuck himself.

you did really well i ndefending other pot smokers, especially with the whole "i know lots of people who used crack and coke and tried to kill themselves" argument he had. the only problem I had with what you said to him was "its not like i smoked alone or something". WTF?! ok man, clue me in, tell me what the problem is with smoking alone? if your incinuating it has something to do with the addictive properties of weed when you smoke alone, your sadly mistaken. Most people who have qualms about smoking alone are people that have more likely than not, recently started smoking and viewed it as "if i smoke alone im addicted". try it sometime man, its awesome. My favorite thing to do when smoking alone is either smoke some then play my bass, smoke some then write in my journal, or smoke some and read a good book by candle light. Now if im not mistaken, generally, isnt it fairly difficult to do any of those at a party? except for the bass part, lots of people play music.

It has been said that doing a drug alone meams that you're addicted. I disagree. It certainly can be a sign that you're addicted, but it's not a rule set in stone. I sometimes smoke alone, for fun or to relax, and that doesn't make me an addict.

Since then weve agreed to disagree, but ive recently found out that his savings have diminished as hes spent all his cash on alcohol and cigs... i cant say ive spent money on weed to that degree.

and as far as addiction goes, a while back i used to obsess and always talk with friends about weed (i love it so much lol) and it used to always be on my mind, but now i dont even think about smoking (and i dont plan to smoke for like a month or so till ive raised a bit of cash to replace my stash which i gave to my mum in a moment of sillyness (long story))

anyway ive learnt to smoke in serious moderation, unlike my hypocrite friend i am not addicted in any stretch of the word and i am very happy with the amount i smoke...
