Cops picked up my little bro, and his NORML card fucked him over

Well last night my brother and his two friends (all 17) were out smoking in their car. They were parked in front of a house and someone called the cops thinking they were scoping their house to rob it. The cops came and when they questioned him, he pulled out his norml freedom card. this pissed the cops off and they took him out and handcuffed him and put him in the back seat of the squad car. he denied smoking weed, but they said they smelled it and that was that. they took the other kids out and called all of their parents who came and picked them up. they searched the car and found some weed and a small pipe and they just confiscated it. all the parents got to choose if they wanted to take their kid home or have them arrested (they chose to take their children home.) the only reason i am writing this is to say that the NORML card almost got him sent to jail because they could have given him a DUI so becareful if you plan on using it in the future.

The next time, along with his NORML card, he should carry a Monopoly "Get Out Of Jail Free" card. That may offset the use of the NORML card.

what part of don't have weed in a car, ie outside his house didn't he get..............that way they would have needed a search warrant.............weed and cars mix only when cops aren't around............Peace out............Sid

I think both sid and oiseau are right...first off you don't smoke in your car parked in an inhabited area where people can see you through their windows...and secondly...if you get caught, humour and a smile is a better way out than waving a card you know is gonna piss off the policeman...you can always pull it afterwards, if the smile doesn't work

that card is like asking to get arrested and admitting to guilt - but choosing not to say anything. you don't even try to defend yourself. i'd give it at the last minute when i've exhausted my other options. he probably got scared though.
