I just got word my credits will transfer to univ of co!!!!

Hey what's up GC!?!? I am in the best fucking mood right now....I just got off the phone with someone from the University of Colorado and he informed me that my credits will transfer. I am hoping to get into the Leeds School of Business since I am a Management major. I am soo fucking pumped.....I am hoping to be out there for the fall 2010 semester.

Congratulations! dude this is exactally what I am supposed to be doing. I go to a local community college as of right now here in NJ and I'm supposed to be transferring out after next semester. Problem is, I plan on transferring into the Leads school as well and they keep telling me that I need to have a strong macro/micro background and I don't, at all. So I'm in the process of taking classes now so I can get into my micro's n shit so I can transfer.

The only problem that I have found with Colorado: Boulder is that they refuse to tell me what is going to transfer and what will not. So basically I have to just take classes at my community college and "hope" that they transfer.

If you don't mind me asking, how many credits did you have transferring into there and what was your GPA? I'm definitely going to be keeping in touch with you cause your doing exactally what I hope to be doing in a few months! lol Good luck with everything man.

That's fucking sweet!! They told me that if my classes transfer to Indiana University and Purdue then they will be good there. I know what you mean tho saying that they won't tell you what transfers. Actually once you apply then they'll evaluate your credits. What is your school's accredidation? Mine is ACICS accredited. I have 42 cr as of right now and I'm going to have to take that micro at another university here in my town cuz my current school offers macro. My gpa is 2.6 but it will increase after this quarter and the next and when I take my macro and micro cuz you gotta have a B for the class before you transfer. Good luck to you and maybe we can hook up n puff out. If I don't get accepted to CU then there are other schools out there so either way, I AM COLORADO BOUND.

Yea Colorado is the shit and thats definitely where I plan on going, its just a HUGE change from where I'm at now (with a huge family and a serious girlfriend here in NJ). Anyway, after this semester is over I'm going to have close to 30 credits but my problem is that only like 20 (at most) are going to transfer. The only thing I want is to just transfer in as a Sophomore so I don't have to deal with all the bullshit restrictions that they set for Freshman students. The reason why alot of my classes aren't going to transfer is because my major before Business Admin was Digital Media Arts w/ a concentration in Web Design. I never really got deep into the curriculum but I took some art classes and such that will not transfer and I already have all my electives except for one filled out from having other majors. ** btw my next elective WILL be "Plant Science" haha can't wait** I think it will be the first class that I am actually interested in.

I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about the schools accreditation. I go to Mercer County Community College (my local CC). All I know is that MCCC is the biggest piece of shit school in the entire world when it comes to having them help you out with transferring out. They just outright don't give a shit and I have already been screwed over by them so much that I just want to get the hell out. As long as I have more than 12 credits I'll be OK. And as of right now my GPA is like a 3.79 so I shouldn't really have any problems getting in.

What are some other schools that you are looking into in Colorado? Another one that I looked into was University of Colorado in Denver. Haven't really looked into the school as much as the location, but Colorado in general is the SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT lol

I didnt read the whole thing, but if you are going there for the weed scene its pretty stupid. Your education matters more than getting high. I myself to happen to be going to school with a pretty good weed scene, but although I am obvsiously happy about it, I didnt go here because of it. Infact, I didnt even know my school was big pn weed until long after I registered, though before I got here.

Its cool but the thing is, I mentioned nothing about weed. Granted, I looked at schools in 'pot friendly' states and the Univ of CO is a very good school and in 2007 n 2008, Boulder was voted smartest city in the USA according to Forbes. I was going to try getting into their Leeds School of Business but now I am VERY interested in their Advertising major and actually that program is ranked in the Top 10 and Advertising specialists will always be needed. To go along with that, I am hoping to minor in Communications, or maybe double major.

Also, I am coming from Indiana and if you have ever lived here or know people here, you would understand why I am needing to relocate to a more 'accepting' state. I am actually wanting to move to Denver once it is all said n done and my Bachelor's Degree is in my hand.

You only really notice the weed if you live on campus, if you walk around at night you can smell it everywhere. And our food meal plans have names like "tastebud" and other plans have slogans like "got munchies?" But other than that, it's just like every other campus (except on 4/20 lol)

I'd imagine so, just try to strike up a conversation without being sketchy. One time I was hanging out with a friend smoking a bowl and some dude came around the corner and kinda stood about 10 feet away (around midnight, middle of nowhere) and whipped out his phone. So we moved away but he kinda meandered back towards us without saying anything so we were like ok fuck this and we split. I'm not sure if he wanted us to offer him some, or if he was calling the cops but I wasn't staying around to find out. If you don't know anyone your best bet is probably to mention your lack/love of bud around roommates/dorm buddies if they seem chill. Don't sneak up on anyone Good luck

Yea, I'm 26 so I'm not staying in the dorms....I'll be living in an apartment so I'm hoping someone around where I will be living will be popping some off. I've gone to webehigh.com and it says that there are certain streets where hippies hang out and I am hoping to get involved in a club or two. I am a friendly guy who just loves ganja so I figured it won't be too hard since its an 'accepting' community.
