Aside from saying this was very nicely written... I quit smoking for the military for 4 years. I got out, and started again shortly after. I don't regret a motherfucking second of either choice. I guess there are just times in most people's lives where they quit for some reason or another. Most come back, but some don't. But hopefully while you're away you enjoy the sobriety, and then if you find the right time, enjoy getting wasted again.

no. fuck that. end of the day you only have to answer to yourself and God. stick to your guns and dont apologize. sounds like you are a good member of society, productive and caring. the smoking isnt hurting anyone, your friends were doing it completely independent of you. they are just trying to blame you for their failed parenting. dont let anyone make you feel guilty for your actions. guilt should only come from within and your own moral code.

wow haha i think you should go back to smoking with your other friends instead of your brothers lol or use this whole thing to convince your brothers that you don't smoke anymore. I mean if you can go 6 years without getting caught and can't go like 4 sessions without having to quit with your brothers thats kinda bad :P. but i mean choices up to you quitting probably better choice but mannnn its pot .

That's the problem with people nowadays. When faced with a difficult situation, they take the easiest road out instead of standing up for what they believe. If you enjoy doing something that obviously has no detrimental effects to your well being but is being cast into darkness by society, why would you let others dictate how you live your life? | |

Personally, I don't think I ever see myself quitting. I will be a pot toker for the rest of my life. Obviously, there will be breaks in there for when I join a military branch for i.e, but once that crap is over i am gonna be back smoking. Pothead for life. lol.

You showed a great level a maturity in my book OP. Sometimes situations call for big descisions like in the OP's case. For those that say he should just keep smoking I believe they don't understand how to be "diplomatic" in a situation like this. He is choosing to stop smoking to keep his future secure and keep his family from being attacked by his best friend's family. Responsible use also means quitting in situations that can become harmful to yourself and others. Hopefully after you graduate college and move out you can pick up smoking again. Sucky ending to what sounded like a really awesome day.

its my life and if I want I can tell anyone to fuck themselves but its up to me to decide if thats the best course of action. If thats the BEST and most REASONABLE way to handel things. No one tells an individual, whether you or me, what to do. Only that individual decides whether or not to choose one way or another and through such submitting themselves to other's wills whether temporarily or permanently.
