unbelievably embarassing..advice?

okay ill post a short version of the story at the bottom, but if you want the detailed story, here goes:

my phone takes really good pictures, but its an odd phone with a widescreen display screen, so it only shows part of pictures..i toojk a picture of myself while i was in the bath (i was drinking a monster and its a joke we have), and i saw it on the screen (from my shoulders up) and i sent it. i meant to send it to a couple of other people, so i went back to my sent box and opened it to hit resend and change the number it was sending to, but when i opened it i saw the picture i had sent in its entireity (you can scroll and see the whole pic in a message but not in the "my pics" thing) and it was a complete body shot, naked. i was like HOLY SHIT so i called her really quickly to tell her not to look at it and to delete it before she opened it but it was too late and now im embarassed as fuck.

btw, i NEVER get embarassed..i told EVERYONE that i accidentally took a shit on a public bathroom floor, and people i dont know have asked me about it and i tell them its true. so coming from me, its a big deal that im embarassed about something.

i apologized and told her it was an accident..shes working so i didnt get much of a chance to explain on the phone but i came home and sent her an email thats probably at least 2000 words. i suggested that instead of pretending it never happened we make a joke out of it but keep it only between us. i think if we try to ignore it ever happening, itll be more awkward cause we'll both think about it when we hang out but itll be like..taboo and uncomfortable whereas if its a joke, we can laugh about it and keep it lighthearted. is that the right thing to do? im mortified. like..i want to go hide. lmao. i do think its funny. dont think im an idiot who doesnt see the humor in anything. i am laughing and dying inside at the same time. lol

SHORT VERSION: sent a naked picture to my friend COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT. called and apologized but still feel really embarassed about it. should we pretend it never happened or make a joke out of it in the future?

hahahahaha thats funny shit. i dont think it will be that big of a deal tho really. all my friends that are girls have seen eachother naked and it hasent changed a thing between them

hmmm ok first off, how good looking are you on a scale of 1-10?
secondly, i wouldnt worry about
taking a shit on the bathroom floor sounds way more embarrassing than this

if its one of your friends, and your both female, i dont see what the problem is. most girls dont really have a problem undressing around eachother.

it would be different however if you were two guys though, or you sent it to some guy...

trust me, eventually you'll forget about it. it might be akward talking to her the first week but after that you will probably forget about it. and i always say things won't be akward unless you make them akward. if you don't then she won't.

i guess you guys are right..i changed with her in my room today.
i guess it just felt different cause
a) it was a total accident, and
b) it was a picture..

sending a naked picture is different than being naked in front of someone imo.
