Rollies.com is a scam

Hey guys,

Just to warn everybody that http://www.rollies.com is a complete scam. It's the first Google hit for 'online head shop' and you'll probably come across links to it from other sites. I ordered a $50 pipe from them about 6 weeks ago, for which they took payment immediately. I've e-mailed them numerous times asking what's up with my order, and I've been totally ignored. Not only that, but these motherfuckers sold the e-mail address I used to place the order to spammers, since I've been receiving about 5-10 med spams per day since ordering with them.

Don't make the same mistake I did - these guys are complete cunts.

good looking. but it looks like a kinda shady site to begin with, so i probably wouldn't think about buying anything off there. seems like better idea to hit up a headshop if i see a piece i really like from there.

Can I do that if it's been six weeks? I'm also sort of concerned because what I ordered is technically illegal here. Would that matter?

I dunno what the rules are but call up the credit card company / bank and explain the situation. I don't think it being six weeks should a problem really. Just tell them you were giving the company enough time in case they had genuinely made a mistake.

Also pipes aren't illegal. They're for smoking tobacco. The bank won't get into your personal stuff. They might ask what you bought but they shouldn't say shit like omg isn't that illegal i'm calling the fuzz.

I believe that, possibly, you were not scammed. The company may be aware that where you are from it is illegal to purchase a tobacco pipe, as it is in some U.S. states. They may not want to risk getting in trouble, so have not sent you the pipe. Although it is somewhat discerning they would not make contact with you/return your money. Like everyone else has said, file a fraud report.

Buying and owning a pipe is not illegal. Its what you put in the pipe which then makes it illegal. You could be using it for tobacco purposes and it be perfectly legal to own.

not necessarily.

there are a few states that outlaw the distribution, purchase, and possession of glass.

and ive bought from rollies.com plenty of times with no trouble.

you should be sure they have a privacy policy, returns and warranty guarentees, and should have https:// on the link meaning they are secure

my friend actually ordered a pipe from them. it took months but it finally came. i don't know what is up with them but i'm sure you will get your order eventually; i definitely wouldn't order from them again though and wouldn't advise anybody else to do so either.

Yes we are a head shop that sell tobacco related products for tobacco use only and other fun products such as Body jewelry, posters scales etc. and we do ship WorldWide. We are a two man operation thanks to the Man in the US office, as we were once very profitable and had employees but then the war began with Operation Pipe Dreams (google it) and we lost our p-pal account, well they changed their rules thanks to pressure from the Man. Over the years he had many new online wars, such as going after the online pharmancies, online casinos etc and each time we lost another merchant processor over it, even to the point where yah-o deleted all my key words because we had a casino link on our site. We would love to name the merchant processor who over the years took tens of thousands of dollars of customers money and never paid us even though we sent all the orders out. That is why orders take time, we haven't caught up to their closures, we still rely on local suppliers to hold the stock who not only supply us but most of the HS in Canada and being a glass blowing industry sometimes glass tends to be out of stock more often than not and we are not aware of what might not be available to when it will be available in a few weeks or month. We therefore, take time in getting orders out and sometimes it takes way longer than we wish or want but due to bad people and companies we have been faced with over the years. We do apologize for anyone who has to wait longer than normal for an order but I want to say we will send your order out even if it is very late. Rest assured to anyone who is waiting months for an order, we will get your order out to you and we do apologize for this waiting. We are not a bad company, just a small one who are lucky enough to have many local suppliers who keep the inventory and sell to us.

Customer service is lacking right now but I hope by this Fall we will be able to hire someone who will take calls answer emails as right now we are lacking in the department due to time issues. We want anyone who does order to know, we do not rush orders and that we will update your account when we ship it. Lastly, we never have and never will add your email to any spammers list, we never sell your email and are not responsible for any spam emails you get. If you get spam emails you can be rest assured it has not come from us and we can promise you that.

To the customer above, we have no emails from anyone from Naples, FL and only two outstanding orders to that city and I have emailed both customers of eta. If you can not wait let me know, do contact us first as you will get your order not matter what week it is, we will get the order out.

Wow. I got an e-mail from the site a few days ago assuring me my order would be shipped the following week. I win several internets for this.

Yeah, but seriously, re: spam. Literally the day after I ordered from this site with the e-mail account in question - which had up to that point not received a single spam mail as I'd been careful to use it only for online shopping - I started getting 5 to 10 pharmaceutical spam mails per day, always with some bizarre, random quote from a book. I don't know if it's the site itself or the median it uses in lieu of PayPal, but yeah. No smoke without fire.
