Clueless Parents

What's up GC?? Fellow toker here from Columbus, Ohio.

-So I knew my parents were kind of naive about weed, not necessarily about the effects and benefits and whatnot, but what happened today was something else. Last night, I decided to blaze outside my house like I normally do at night, but for some reason I was feelin kinda paranoid and hid my bag of weed under a magazine (only about 1.5 grams left) on our dinner table. Sure enough, I come back inside after a session with my Che Guevara mini-bong, high as hell, and completely forget about my bag

Fast forward to 530 pm the next day after getting back from work. My dad calls my name and tells me dinner is ready and asks me to help him set the table. I walk into the room after him with some plates and whaddyaknow; my damn bag is just sittin there on top of the same magazine in plain sight. My mind races and my heart pounds, but surprisingly my dad is acting as if nothing is wrong and continues to set the table. I try to act normal but I am soo confused because he is not mad or anything. This is so strange to me though because I know for a fact that my dad is against drugs, including sweet old Mary Jane.

I put the bag in my pocket after he leaves the room and hide it in my normal spot. We proceed to have dinner as soon as my mom gets home and they act as if nothing was out of the ordinary! At this point I don't know what to think. I can't think of anything else except that my parents for some reason might have not known that it was pot!! It's been a few hours and no word about it and everything is normal...

I just can't get over the fact that I know they saw the weed but they aren't saying anything!! I guess I should just feel lucky for having such clueless parents


Anyone else have something like this happen before?? haha i doubt it...

i've grown in my closet before, and one day my mom came up and walked into my room and said "is there a light on in your closet?" while she was like walking fast into my closet and i quickly got up and turned off the lights and was like let me check and i went in there and she followed me, and i had pretty much accepted defeat at this point and i was like well nothing is on in here and she just said ok and left. i was so amazing kinda how you are.

My parents used to search my room a lot in high school and once i had a bag of catnip hidden somewhere that i forgot about. so lone behold i come home one day and my mom had gone through my room. she goes "i found a big bag of marijuana." i said, "i swear i didn't know about it..let me see it........mom, this is catnip." funny stuff

i would be confused as hell if that happened! my parents came from korea and are pretty smart about drugs. no idea how or why but they saw me with a razor blade and jokingly asked me if was gonna cut up coke with it. and that was when i didn't know you used it for that. so i've come to the conclusion that yeah, my parents are sneaky and smart and i will be utterly fucked if i ever got caught with any drugs.

oh i have had many stories like that. once i left the bag on the floor and in the morning my dad walked in to wake me up stepped on the bag and walked out with out noticing it!!
once i had my bub on the table bu there was other bottles and she didn't notice it cuz there was a lot of glass on the table.

My parents are completely oblivouse to me smoking. I stash my bong and pipes in my room and my friends and I walk in the with a like wal-mart bag put all the shit in there and walk out with whats pretty obviously a bong sticking out of it.

One time after I took my sleeping medication, I got extremely loopy. I decided I was going to smoke a bowl before I went to sleep but I passed out before it happened. So anyways
I woke up late next morning after my mother had left for work. she always comes in my room every morning before I am awake to opens windows. anyways my medicine container with a eigth is chillin on the floor along with my pipe.
I started to freak out.

since i can remmember i have known my dad as a pothead. He used to try and be sneaky about it when i was smalll and naive but after catching him time after time again he broke the news that he smoked pot. This was old news and i told him that i had known for a while.. and at this time he asked if i had ever tried it and that I couldn't tell anyone. I agreed and we made one of those pinky promises. At the time i was only about 12 years old and i told him i knew what it was but never smoked it. Then he went into his room and came back with two things, a film container (black with silver lid) and a small green pipe. He showed me some and broke it up on the table, loaded the bowl and handed me the pipe and taught me the love of mary jane. the greatest moment of my life!

the other day i talked to my dad on the phone and he was just sitting down for dinner after golf. so I was already done smoking a bong and i had another packed up. I got sidetracked and was talking to my sister while the bong was on the kitchen table. I didn't even realize I hadn't smoked the second bong (it was some dank keif so I was already soaring). All of a sudden the side door from the garage opens and it's my dad. I was thinking...what...the...fuck? And i glance over and see my bong just sitting out. He told me to feed the dog and i just grabbed my bong went upstairs and put it n my closet. Scared the shit out of me and somehow he didn't see it.

........let me tell you somthing, half of your parents noticed the things in your storys, even the ones were its like "he didn't even notice"
the fact is as a parent we are educated to a degree on these matters, and i can GURRENTEE you that your parents know, or knew someone that smokes pot and is/was ok with it, or they flaty out used to smoke in college. when i was younger i always thought my mom was oblivious because nothing ever came up, but when i turned 18 she told me all the times she noticed and let me know that she used to smoke in college( my mother is hard core mormon) which was a shocker,

your parents arent berating you over the weed because they love you and don't see the potential harm many other "vices" would cause.
the fact is everyone needs a vice, teens, adults, and elders, for some its alchohal, for others its charity or whatever but for the potsmokers of america we choose......uh pot. my mother knew this and respected me for my decisions and im sure many of your parents are doing the same......

i just re read this and decided not to edit my baked rant. its funny.
