really bad day, really really bad day...

why is it when i mean to do good, bad things happen to me?

is this why i have become the person i am today? hateful and heartless...

today i was going to work, like i was supposed to. my manager changed my schedule last night w/o even telling me...

came in to work, they told me to come back at 8.

im on the way home, and my car dies. fuel pumps dead.

i didnt go to work. i was stressed out.

i had to get my cousins girl to call triple A and use her membership (THANK YOU JASNA!!! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO ME!!!! i hope you read this)

today is fathers day, also today 8 years ago, my father died. i was going to visit his grave, i only visited once before, like 3-4 years ago.

i told my self for a whole week in advance that ill go visit his grave and say a prayer, and now i couldnt even do that. some son i am....

then at home, my family is going off on me because they think i hit something with the car and messed it up, when all i did was drive it like normal and it died..

i hate life. i started believing in good not too long ago. thanked him for everything he did. what did i do to deserve this? dont even say things are meant to happen for a reason.

i guess probably losing my job happens for a reason, as well as not paying tribute to my dad, as well as having to spend a lot more money that i need for other things, to get my car fixed.

i really deserve this huh?

makes a mufucka change his way of thinking about the world. shit like this will keep my heart stone cold, i will never understand things to happen the way they do.

i dont even know why im on here talking about this, its just that no one else wants to listen, or is too stupid to care. im sorry if i wasted your time.

Well you said you believe in god, so look at it this way. Life is not meant to be easy. It's a test, it's a job. Bad things happen. You need to show you can overcome the bad shit. Your reward for all this, assuming you do an acceptable job, is eternity in heaven.

I think thats a good thing to keep in mind if you believe in that kinda thing.

I don't though, so If you want a real answer; Life kinda sucks. I know that sounds negative but it's true for the most part. There are good things in life, and if you are truly lucky you may even have very little bad in your life. For the average person though, life can be a rough and unforgiving journey. Bad shit happens to good people. Bad shit happens to bad people. Just how it goes.

The only thing that keeps me going is my desire to find something meaningful in life. Something that really makes all the bad shit kinda worth it. Until then, all I can do, all most of us can do, is just deal with the shit and move on.

Find a way to take your anger for the shitty things that happen, and use it for motivation to remedy these situations.

Life can be rough. Just dont let it get the best of you.

I could read off all of the cliches in the book for you, but I don't think they'd help too much.

I won't tell you there's a reason for everything, because I can't believe it myself. Too many heinous things happen for there to be reasons for it. What reason could there possibly be terrorism, rape, or murder? I can't find one.

I can't tell you that I know what you're going through, because I don't. I can tell you how I get through shitty times though.

When I feel like my life sucks, I think about my friend Erik, who lost his life in Afghanastan to put my problems into perspective. The things that keep me going are the gret things I have in my life. I have my life to live, my family, and my friends. If you just focus on the shitty things going on in your life, it's going to bring you down. There's no reason to get caught up in all of the negative things in your life, just think about the good things you have. I've only got the sunny hours, the brightest hours of day, I never count the gloomy hours, I let them slip away.

Water reply to talon, i understand but stop blaming yourself!

Dear Talon,

Stop beating yourself up! Your dad is not at his grave, he is probably very happy to not be alive on this earth facing all the problems we face as mortals. He doesn't have pain, is happy and WANTS YOU TO KNOW YOU REALLY ARE LOVED! No matter how good or bad of a person you are, good and bad happens to everyone. Right now, you are facing a horrible delimma in that you don't earn enough money to buy a more reliable car. Yet your employer is demanding you take care of their resposibility and the boss doesn't care about your situation. That is not your fault! That's one of the reasons why we are facing the economic problems occuring on the news. People cannot earn enough money now to pay for basic things. Too many corporations expect too much out of employees and don't compensate enough. Look at the people managing these huge beurocracies. They don't give a rats ass. Yet they have good lives and aren't being punished. That's because man kind has free will. The Danes are the happiest people on earth. The Danish people pay 50% income tax, yet the government really uses the tax money wisely and the population does not have american problems because in Denmark, people aren't expected to pay for the expensive stuff like health care, college education and nursing homes. The Danish get 6 weeks vacation a year and they work a 36 hr. week. They are encouraged to spend time with their families and think Americans are overworked and stressed.
You are not the problem. Bad things happen to everyone, i am incredibly lonely and suffer from emotional problems. I saw your post and wanted to reach out to you, I understand your pain and wish i could make it better. Bless you for your lovely heart.

Just remember, man, there are millions of people out there who have it worse than you every single day of their life. Sure, you have your problems, we all do, but that doesn't mean we should only focus on the bad things. What would happiness be without sadness? It would lose all of it's meaning. Just look on the bright side, and see just how lucky you are.
