Well a few of my good buds of mine (pun intended) but so we were on this nature trail enjoying a few J's and as soon as we finished them a two cops come out and are like everyone hands up and sit still. So the cops proceed to come over say they recieved a few calls from people saying some people are smoking pot down there. They then proceed to stick their hands iin my friends pocket and i say you dont have the right to do that, they then say are u a lawyer and i say no and i said fourth ammendment rights and they say no we can do this. BULLSHIT. so they take all our info search us all but luckily we smoked all our herb so none of us recieve possesions but my friend had a little pinchy that they illegally found during an illegal search and proceed to cuff him. Which is unfourtunatly he was the only one under seventeen and proceed to take him home. They did not give him a ticket but were extreme ass holes. Fuck the Police

not to hijack, but once i was at a lake with some friends in my car, and as i'm passing it back i lean over and what do i see standing behind us but two cops... oh shit... to make this short - they razzed us, luckily there was only a roach left and my girl ate it (cuz i passed it to her) so we had none on us.. but man they were dicks like you said...

actually they cant search you they have to pat you down first which they did not do.

Wrong, if a cop has probable cause, he is allowed to search your person, bags, car, etc.
He does not have to pat you down first, although most cops will to make sure you don't
have any weapons on you.
This is the along the lines of people that think cops have to read your miranda rights,
they dont have to read you them unless they intend on asking you questions after
they arrest you. I'm pretty surprised how many people don't know there rights. Especially
people that take part in illegal activities.

Cops have to read you your Miranda rights when the arrest you smart ass, not only if they intend to question you afterwards. Sorry to be a dick, but you were being a dick for no reason there...

Also while a cop has the right to search with probably cause, I don't know if smell counts <_<

I'm not saying they need to do it TO arrest you, I'm just saying you need to know after the time of arrest if they intend to press charges.

While I will consent I was wrong that they don't have to read to you AT the time of arrest, I believe I'm correct in saying it's standard protocol for 99% of arrests(since arrests normally have questioning later on)and it's read to you on the spot to make sure it's not forgotten about later...
