Well, it started as a normal day.. I slept in and was just about to go mow the lawn when Two of the local cops came knocking. They were very direct and Told me I had to answer some questions at the station. I hadnt done anything so I had no problems heading down, although ovbiously I was a little nervous. They sat me in the interrogation room and Told me "That I knew damn well what this was about and I better have some fucking answers" Now I know their tactics well enough so I told them there must be some misunderstanding and perhaps it would be helpful if they told me what this was about. They repeated their prior statement. I told them I really had no clue and they slowey unraveled the story, stopping at any point where they seemed to think I had some info.
Appaently what happened was someone broke into my neighbors house/car the other night, stole some checks and jewlery and some 30 year old looking chinese guy who ive never before seen or heard of gave up my name, very confusing..
They then proceeded to tell me that my prints were all over my neighbors car and the checks in question...-Impossible-...

They questiond me for a few more hours, all about stuff I knew nothing about and I eventually gave them consent to search my house for the jewlery and checks (confused me too.. The way they spoke before suggested they already had the checks) But whatever..

They left me at the station while they went and ripped up my house. One officer claimed to have counted 25 bongs, which I wasnt charged for and nothing was stolen.. looking on the bright side I guess..

After the search, they played bad cop/asshole for another minute and told me I was free to go. I said I would at least appreciate a ride home and an appology to my mother ( who I was planning on taking to dinner).. thanks assholes. Got a ride atleast..

Overall I think its really fucked.. some retard who works at dominos robbed my neighbors and claimed it was really me and I passed everything off to him.. This fuckhead better pray he never meets me in person. Im still a suspect in the case and im gonna give my lawer a call in the morning.

Anyone else ever been falsly accused for something? It sucks..

Ive had cops call me for things I never even knew happened and they had my name come up. I don't care how suspicious it sounds but the only 3 words I'll say to a cop unless I'm pulled over is "call my lawyer". Unless they have direct evidence connecting you to the theft I'd let them talk to a lawyer because what you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

well cops lie. They told me they had videos of my meeting the guy whos locked up now (which they refused to show me) along with a few other made up pieces of evidence.

The only real thing was my name.. It was actually in the first sentence of the guys statement.. something along the lines of "Friday morning started then -me name here- came over and asked if i wanted to smoke weed" followed by a bunch of check bullshit.

I was nowhere near this guys house on that morning.. I was actually 45 mins away for a job interview.

Im mostly just really sketched out about how this guy has my name and knows where I live..
