Hangover?

So I'm really new to all this stuff; started smoking about a month ago. Since then I've been stoned about four times. The first two were okay; a bit mellow, bit happy but I didn't do that much... but then on Wednesday evening I smoked pretty much a whole joint to myself in a friend's car. First time I'd ever done that, and hell was I wrecked. Low tolerance or something.

Anyway, so the next day I felt awful. Really slow, spacy, groggy and generally thick, and slightly nauseous. Peed LOADS that day. I was tired, too, like I just wanted to sleep.

Thursday night I went out and yeah, I got high again. Not as much as Wednesday night, but still pretty far gone. I ate some that night, too.

Since then, it's like I lost all perception of time. I physically can't panic about anything, can't concentrate to revise (I have an exam on Monday for god's sake!). I've been sleeping loads; generally just drifting. My short-term memory is completely blown and everything since Wednesday night is sort of fuzzy. Like it's too much effort to remember details.

I'm getting scared now, in a detatched way. It's Saturday aftenoon, test on Monday and I haven't even opened a book. If I go in like this I'm just gonna be staring at the blank paper until the time's up and I can't fail it. I'm normally pretty sharp and on-the-ball. My mind usually works fast but it just... won't. I'm really spacy.

Is this normal, and is there anything I can do? I just want to think properly again. It doesn't help that the weather's gone really hot, either.

The heat seems to intensify things for me when I've been smoking, even the day after. Although even if I haven't been smoking at all the heat makes me sluggish as hell. If it could only stay a cool 65 degree's all year round, that would rock.

Thanks, guys. Just went for a long walk and I'm feeling a bit clearer. Going to have a cold shower in a bit (and an iced coffee), so we'll see if that helps.

Hell, I wish it could stay 65 all year, and rain is good too. I don't do well in heat anyway, but right now it's got to be pushing 85f. Nasty.

Hell Yeah, rain is awesome. It was supposed to storm the last couple of nights here but never did. I never got into the whole "Summertime" thing. It's just bright and hot and makes me feel slow and like crap. I get alot more accomplished in winter.

I just hate exams being in summer. I never understood why schools had to have their own special calendar; it just confuses things.

As you build up tolerance, you get less of those negative effects, but maintain the positives. Just give it some time and keep tokin.

No.. if you smoke it all the time and you get fucking high tolerance then you aren't getting as high anymore really and you need more weed to feel high.

i agree. the first few times smoking is almost like a "trip" (for me at least) with side effects of laziness, lack of desire/motivation and up-set stomach the day after.

but weed with a decent tolerance is just happy, hungry, sleepy. wake up feeling fresh and better than before b/c of a good night stoned sleep.

Ive found that keeping hydrated really helps, lots of water or Gatorade. OJ seems to do wonders also, dealer once told me something about vitamin c and how it usually made him feel much better after a long day of smoking. Exercise or just getting out and active helps alot to.

I know exactly what you're talking about. The first couple times I smoked the same thing happened to me. Sometimes even now after smoking for over a year on a 2-4 times a month basis it happens to me. Usually I'll smoke a ton the night before and the next morning I'll feel disoriented and very light headed. When I fall asleep while I'm high it seems to intensify it the next morning. Try some coffee or get your adrenaline going and you should slip out of it. But the more you smoke the less you'll be affected by this "hangover."

Anyway keep 'n

I wouldn't sweat it either man. Same exact thing used to happen to me sometimes for days at a time when I first started. I would get really hot out of nowhere sometimes and would just feel out of it for a while.

Then suddenly all that disappeaered.

G/L and keep tokin.
