I overdosed ~ New appreciation for life

I won a raffel for $800 and was extremely excited. I bought 25 xannies, 4 X's and some alcohol. Come home around 8pm pop all 4 rolls, take 2 xannies and start drinking a beer.

Thats the last thing I remember. Supposidely I took more xannies and drank more beer continuosly through the night and kept falling down and bumping into shit in my room.

My parents could hear lots of noise coming from my room around 1am and see me laying on the ground with my eyes completely rolled in the back of my head. I was completely drenched in sweat and couldn't even put my socks on when my parents tried taking me to the ER.

Get to the ER and take a blood test/piss test/and get 2 IV's of some fluid to help counter the drug. So now i'm basically on the last straw with my parents and have to make a decision in my life.... move out or get help (rehab)

I have chosen rehab since I cannot afford to live on my own yet, I am still in college.

I just felt like posting this because I feel extremely depressed and feel like I have disappointed my parents so much. My mom was crying and shaking just asking herself "What did I do wrong?"

So a break from drugs is the best for me. You guys enjoy yourselves. Ill be back someday soon. I wish you all the best of luck

Damn man, that's a lot to cope with. Be happy your moms giving you that 2nd chance though. Not saying that your not, but I'm sure there's a lot of cats on here with parents that would make different, drastic decisions.

I feel bad for you, and I'm sure you're not looking for sympathy, but just know a fellow blade feels for you homie.

Feed them all the bullshit they want to hear at re-hab, because from my experience re-hab doesn't work unless the patient puts themselves through it..know what I'm sayin'?

+rep man thanks for the support. I told my parents what is a person who has never met me in my life going to do to change me if I go to a rehab? I need to change for myself. I just dont know if i'm ready for that yet. I am still a kid and like to party and drink and smoke occasionally.

Oh no, I hear that completely. That's what I was trying to say, I've had many friends go to re-hab unwillingly and not ONE single one has came out of it clean.

I mean your in college, you deserve to party it up, it's not like your going to continue that life-style forever. You worked your ass off in high-school (i assume) to get where you are now. Work hard - play hard. I really wish I hadn't fucked around so much in high-school I would love to be going to college right now with the rest of my friends.

Lots of different issues with that though..

That maybe just what you need, ya know? I honestly can't be the one to say that, being as how I've never met you, but maybe going to re-hab, taking a long tolerance break from everything, re-gaining trust with your rents, and then maybe continuing on a much better foot would be the shit.

Why not just stay away from "hard" drugs?

Xanax scares me anyhow, I have taken a couple a few times while drinking and have awoke not knowing where I am.

Glad to hear you made it through! Shit happends, and luckily you didn't get the shit end, lol.

But sometimes you need a reality check. I agree, we are young (Still in school too, trade school for now..), and we should party it up. Just be careful, I believe drugs are a great recreational thing, when used properly.
I am sure you know all this, as I am sure most on here do.

But very happy to hear you are alive! Try rehab out, if it does not mess with school, or put something on your record that would stop you from getting certain jobs, not sure, never been. But if not for the actual 'rehab' part, then for the experience, meet new people, take a break from all the stress, get away from everyone for a while, etc.. I love taking breaks from the world, like go camping with my dog or something for like 5 days, kinda a sober get-away every once in a while, so I don't loose myself in the game..

And fuckin' congrats on the $800, I cannot say I would not have done something like that either.. I would have gotten straight molly though, and some cid.. some dank.. some dos eques.. maybe a bottle or two.. a new pipe or something.. and if I could fit it in, an 8 ball.. it would be bad...

But, be safe, and have a fuckin' brownie, Dutch bakery style!

ain't that the truth. I was so fucked up from them. I would wake up on a wednesday and think to myself WTF???? I would wake up thinking it was monday. It fucked up my head that much. People at parties would say I would act like a little kid when I was all xannied out. No more of that nonsense
