One of the few....Busted on 4/20.

So im riding in my car on my way to my friends house to start the celebration, its 10:30... Im wearing the trademarkd Adidas/Addicted Marijuana Hat. A cop, driving past sees the hat, and pulls a hard U turn, flips his lights and pulls me over... My g/f is in the passenger seat. I had like 2g's of shitty ass schwag in the door. So before i pulled over, i poped open my shifter boot and threw the 2 grams down in there. Piggy comes up u and says " I had you doin 57 back there" which is abolute bull shit, just the excuse he came up. Then you know the usual " Licence, Registration etc, bull shit" so i give it to him blah blah blah, he comes back after running the info. He asks me to step outta the car so he can search it. I tell him no he may not, he didnt have probable cause and that if he wanted to do that hed have to speak with my attorney...so the fucker puts me in cuffs and drags me to the fucking squad cruiser where i sit for the next hour because he claimed the car smelld lik pot. Theres no way 2 g's of schwag stunk up my car that bad. So he found 2 g's of schwag, a grinder, a blunt roller, and a pipe. Im charged with, Speeding ( which i wasnt), Possesion of Cannabis less than 20 grams, and Possession of Parphanelia. But then he turned cool, and descided not to take me to jail, which woulda ruined my 420. Instead he gave me a Notice to Appear in Court and let me go. So i got in my car and drove to my friends house with my g/f and blazed all fucking day, i wasnt about to let that little bull shit ruin that great ass day.... no fucking pig is gonna ruin my 420. Its only 2 1st degree Misdemeanors and im accutally gonna comp out of the Posseson of Cann. charge, cause he didnt read me my Miranda Rights before i told him where the 2 g's were. Most im looking at is 3-6mth in a " Diversion " program, prolly once a week DT's so well see.

You did the right thing telling him he cant search, but I'm not sure why you gave up and told him where it was. Unless the shift boot was pulled up or looked off he wouldnt have checekd there..

When i was pulled over i was driving on a BPO licence, ( buisness purpose only ) and that holds much more severe consequenses than possesion less than 20 g's, so he told me that if i told him where the pot was, hed make the BPO charge go away.

good deal man. as far as him letting you go goes. sounds maybe like a bullshit reason for pulling you over unless you just didn't realize you were speeding....but regardless at least he didn't take you on the BPO...sounds like you got your license partially suspended if you have that type of license. good luck.

I always stash everything deep, make sure nothing smells and allow searching. If you hide well, it also gives you more confidence in front of piggies.

If you consent to a search and look cool, they usually just take a quick peek and don't find anything. If you look nervous and don't consent, the dogs will be on their way almost 100%.

It'll be his word against the officer's, and I think you know how that turns out most of the time.

If you roll your window down all the way, it's much easier for an officer to be able to argue that he smelled something that gave him reason to believe that drugs might be in the car.

As for his promise to make the charge related to your license go away, I'm happy to hear it worked, but you should keep in mind that he could have charged you anyway. Police officers will do just about anything to get you to admit your guilt, and there are very few restrictions as far as what they're allowed to do to get you to do so.

Never admit guilt in any way, shape, or form. As soon as you do so, you've waived any right you might have had to contest the search at a later date.

Also, keep in mind that officers can do whatever they want as far as searching your vehicle is concerned as soon as you're placed under arrest.

Good luck with the charges, man, and next time--Just eat it.

Unfortunatly thats not the case... he was an 8 year veteran of the force for Oviedo, Florida and trust me... ANY cop in this town, knows what bud smells like. We sling alota bud down here.
