bad trips at concerts

this happened awhile ago:
I saw DevilDriver Soilworks Lamb of God and Killswitch engage. While driving in the car on the way down me ,and a friend, thought it would be a good idea to toke up. We were wrong. We get to the concert completely fucked up and go onto the floor to the pits (we should of known better). The bands were great and everything but being high and being at a metal concert just didn't seem to mix. In the first 5 minutes i got punched in the face and kicked in the nuts. The "energy" of the concert completely brought me down and at a few points i was so dizzy and fucked up i nearly puked. (btw not my first metal/hardcore concert)

Towards the end when Lamb of God and Killwswitch went on i started coming down and feeling a hell of a lot better. All in all the concert was great , but im never toking up before a hardcore/metal concert again.


Have any of you had similar experiences?

ive had a similar experience to this except it was in a club, they were putting on very hard trance and dance music this started to make me feel like everything was closing in on me and i got very paranoid from the amount of people that were there. i then lost my vision completely and had to fight my way out with the help of a friend, i then threw up outside the club but after that i started to chill out, i went back inside and had a great time.

ive never had a bad trip at a show....i feel like the show takes away from the tripping a lil bit but its all good because without that edge being taken off i think a bug out is very very possible considering the number of people all around you fucked up on many different types of drugs....it coul be a lil overwelhing

Personally I love going to concerts stoned. But I see where you are coming from with the heavy metal and mosh pits. I just avoid those aggressive situations and watch the show.

I've only tripped once at a show. It was 2 weekends ago, and it was so much fucking fun I was on shrooms though, not from smoking, but I did smoke. Sorry if that was confusing.

At least you learned you'd rather enjoy a show sober. I'd reccommend trying to drink some beers next time. When I go to a concert I'd rather be tipsy/drunk than stony (most of the time.) I just end of having a much more fun time (and in Austin we have buses, so public transportation is always a plus when drinking.)

I plan on tripping for Holy Fuck and M.I.A. in 2 weeks and Radiohead in a month. Should be a fun time..

Dude are you kidding. I love blazin and getting in the pit. I feel so much more connected and so much energy.

one of the major contributors was that this was no "friendly" pit. Everyone was literally kicking everyones asses, Even i participated in some payback (karate kicked some kid in the face ....but that was later on though).

maybe for me its just pits+metal+pot = not a good mix

Yeah I can understand where you're comin from.You oughtta go to a more chill show like horse the band or thriller. Way sick bands live.
