beating the system....with just a minor heart attack

we've all passed cops cruising, thats nothing new really
but when the LIGHTS come on it gets a little scary

so I was out with friends cruising as usual, we had a couple bowls going at the same time, we always try to be careful when it's dark and we're passing cars because we don't want to attract a lot of attention by sparking the lighters so often. so theres a car coming up that we're about to pass, and the driver says cop...he was about 20 - 30 feet away at this point, we both had bowls up to our faces and just tried to put them down as fast as we could.

as SOON as the cop passed us the lights when on. I seriously could NOT believe it, I was trying to figure out what the hell he saw...did he see the bowls, did he see the smoke, did he see our lighters flicking earlier? all I could think about besides that was wow, I'm going to jail. this is it. we had just picked up earlier that day so we had 1/2 oz in the car, we usually never drive around with that much either but go figure today...

I didnt even want to look to see what he was doing, I just figured we were definitely getting pulled over and was trying to hide as much shit as I could, no luck. my bud starts speeding up and turning, at first I thought he was actually trying to run....

the cop was after someone else! he just kept going with his lights on, we turned onto some backroads and just pulled into a driveway for a minute to chill out. I think everyone in that car had a mini heart attack when they saw those lights go on...

now looking back on it it kinda makes me laugh, obviously things could have gone really badly but the driver wasn't driving badly, unless he saw something he would have no reason to pull us over. It's just kinda funny that he was probably pulling someone over that was going like 5 mph over the speed limit and he passed a car full of stoners smoking it up...he would have had a fucking field day if he pulled us over:

- 4 stoned ass college kids technically "driving under the influence"
- 1/2 oz
- 4 pipes
- and im sure you could scraped another few bowls off the floor. lol

what are the penalties for possession in your state? im only really paranoid when i smoke here in texas cuz you can get up to 6 months for poss < 2oz. in oregon its chill cuz poss < 1oz is a ticket.
