Wow
Ok, so a lot of details are hazy, as I was very, shall we say, fucked up at this time.
I was visiting a friend at another college in Ohio with some of my friends from college, so we went out drinking, the usual college town thing. Afterwards, my friend that goes to this college and I went outside to smoke. We were both drunk beyond belief, and ended up smoking RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS DORM, when his RA happened to be walking in. I realize how idiotic this is, and had we been sober, we would have never done this, we were both extremely drunk. He didn't say anything to us then, but after we got in, he said we need to come to his room, because he called the cops on us. Now, we smoked the last of my weed, but still had my bowl on me, which sucks since Ohio's laws are basically a slap on the wrist for weed but it's a misdemeanor for paraphernalia. Anyway, a kid on my friend's floor went into the RA's room and said they can't hold you here until the cops come you can go to your room, which the RA confirmed to be true. He then told us to give him everything, so we gave him my bowl and one hit, and thus were completely clean, except for my grinder that my friend took down to the girl's floor while this was going on. We were sitting in the room, when two cops showed up. They started questioning us, and this is where it gets hazy since the weed really hit me, but basically they were trying to get us to hand over what we had, but I told him I gave the bowl to my friend. He asked what friend, I said I don't know I don't go here. He was getting pissed, probably because it was like 2:30am and he wasn't getting anywhere. He asked to search my person, and since I had nothing on me, I consented (I figured they would get drug dogs if I didn't). He patted me down, and found nothing. Now, I had two bags with me, one with an air mattress in it and the other with my clothes and stuff, which had the baggie that had some stems in it. He asked to search the bag with the air mattress, so again, I consented, thinking he might give up once he found nothing. He found nothing, then he asked to search my friend, and again found nothing. They were talking about getting a warrant and waking a judge up at 2:30 in the morning (for smoking a bowl? are you fucking kidding me?!) He asked to search the room, but my friend's roommate denied their request. He was clutch, probably because he was sober, and when the cop asked why they couldn't, he said, "Because I know my rights and you can't search my stuff."
The cop asked if I drove here, I said yeah, my car is parked outside. He asked which one it was, I asked why it mattered, he was like "Can you believe his attitude? Let's get the drug dogs." I told him it was a black Accord, just didn't know why it mattered. He said, "when you leave tomorrow, don't ever return here, or I'll arrest you for trespassing, you can't leave tonight because you're obviously in no shape to drive." Funny thing is, it's a public university, so I can come back whenever I want. As they were leaving, they tried to turn it into a lecture, specifically to me, because I was drunk/high and a major asshole to the cops. He asked what I would do if I had a family and people were outside "smoking dope" (sorry pig, dope is heroin) by my house. I told him if my kids didn't see, I wouldn't really care, or if they were inside their home, it's their business not mine. He said, "Is this guy for real? I'll tell you what'd happen with me, he'd have a fucking gun in his face." You, sir, are the exact cop I hate. A gun in the face over smoking a bowl?
Overall, I had nothing on me, got in 0 trouble, technically I'm banned from this university, but it's public, so if I want to see my friend they can kiss my ass. My friend has to go to the dorm's judicial board, but that's it, he said he will probably get in no trouble there either. Anyway, that's my story, no more smoking bowls in front of buildings! I about had a damn heart attack though.
