a close call...

so me and my friend were driving around tonight after smoking a nice strawberry blunt. we were just on our way to another's friend house to pick up an amp... it was about 11pm.

we are driving on this road and talking about how there are so many cops hidden in the side streets with radar guns. right as we're talking about it, we're cut off by a mutual expression of shock as we see flashing lights behind us. "dude, we're being pulled over," my friend said. he turns around and says "thank fucking god" and we see that he pulled over the car that was directly behind us (which came out of nowhere).

has anyone had close calls on the road like this before? with us having shit on us, a car that reeks like pot, and our eyes being red as hell, we would have been absolutely screwed (it was near a school too).

Word dude, one time I had finished smoking a bowl with a friend and all of a sudden I look in the rear view and a cop with it's blues was coming right up my ass. I'm starting to freak out and put on my blinker and then he dips around me and I let out the biggest "Holy shit" ever.

this happens to me alot really. seeing as how i live in a town where their are more cops than people. lol. our village rather, is about 1 square mile or so, amost no crime rate in my and the surrounding towns. so the cops really have nothing to do. its not uncommon to see two or three squads just chilling in a parking lot talking for hours. they pull over anyone that gives them the stupidest reason.

i cant tell you how many times il pass a cop on the opposite side of the road only to see him pull a U turn and turn his lights on only to pull over some lil old lady who forgot to signal when she changed lanes driving 30 mph in a 45.

they love to harass the kids too. again not uncommon to see 4-6 cars stop two kids on the side of the road just cuz they looked a lil suspicious. i hate my town and cant wait to move needless to say.

although there are some of them who are pretty cool with weed, as long as you stay out of trouble they dont seem to mind.

A cop put on his lights behind me and i pulled over and was slowin down, he was doing the same then outta no where sped back up and went like 100 feet down the road turned his lights off and slowed back down. I think he was fuckign with me.

Maybe another call came in as he was pulling to the side of the road?

I don't know, man, but that's extremely lucky. I've had my fair share of close calls as well, but I must say that country drives are one of the things I cherish most from the past. Driving around when the weather is nice, exploring and investigating everything. It's chill.

Anyway, here's a few tips I've incorporated into the way I drive all the time. It seems excessive, but I don't want to get pulled over at any point in time for any reason. I'm sure everyone here is down with that.

Tips:

-Don't speed. Seriously. Just don't. You're not going to get there very much faster anyway.

-Always use your turn signals. Changing lanes? Turn signal. Pulling into a driveway? Turn signal.

-No rolling stops. Complete stops at stop signs ALWAYS.

-Turn your headlights on as soon as it the suns starts to set. Don't give a police officer even the most ridiculous reason to justify a traffic stop.

-Never hit your brakes as soon as you pass a police officer on the side of the road. Allow yourself to coast back to the speed limit. If you're driving so fast that coasting will take a long time--that was pretty stupid, wasn't it?

-Be careful when smoking when others are within eyeshot, whether they be in other cars or on the side of the road. You never know who might notice.

-If you're driving in the country, don't be completely obvious about smoking when you're anywhere near areas where people live (e.g. smaller towns, subdivisions). You never know when you might encounter someone.

yea man this happens a lot to me to. A few weeks ago i was driving with my buddies and all of a sudden we see lights behind us. We were like shit shit we're being pulled over. then all of a sudden another cop car coming from the opposite direction swerves in front of us. At that point we were all bugging out. i just kept saying like "shit man shit were getting raided". (we had a lot of shit) Luckily the cop in front of us was just turning around, i guess both cops were going to the same location. That was a close one. We had a good laugh after that.

Congratulations, i have yet to see super troopers wise ass. I had 3 people in the car i was pulling into the break down lane on the highway and it appeared he was going to pull me over but maybe got a more important call. I'm not trying to impress anyone on this site with fake stories. Grow up we aren't all looking for e-rep.

EDIT: whoever said he might of gotten another call thats a good thought, as you see i thought the same thing before i read your post hah.
