incompetent police
So i know a lot of people come on here and rag on the cops for pullin them over and getting drug charges...
this is unrelated to drugs.... just really stupid cops... And for the record i did not do anything illegal.... So on thursday night i parked my car on my street and went in for the night....i got up the next morning and went out to go to work... and my car was NOWHERE to be found.... i looked up and down the street.... nowhere.... and i freaked out.... someone had stolen my car... so i called in to work and took the day off to deal with this... first i called the cops and got them to come over to file an incident report...after that i called my insurance... all that junk you need to do when someone takes your car.... so i'm sittin at home... bein bored... and decided to go out and get a sandwich.... so i walk down my street... turn the corner and go a block or 2... and there's my car!!! just sitting there parked in front of a meter with a ticket.... nothing wrong with it... no forced entry.... nothing... (i know what you're all thinking... i got blazed and forgot i moved my car... but this is NOT the case... i distinctly remember parking my car on the street and not going out at all later) so i called the cops back and told them i recovered the car... the lady at the police station told me that it was all completed out and i didn't have to do anything else... i called the insurance... then went about my daily life.... went to work on saturday... so saturday night i get a call from the Buffalo police... apparently they recovered my stolen car.... the one i had already found... used... drove to work, and parked back on MY street... not only did they find my car.... they towed it to the impound lot! i called the police and told them that i had reported my car found... the other lady there told me i couldnt call in a found car i'd have to go to the police station.... firstly... why didn't the first lady tell me i had to come in? 2nd... the cops came to my house...didn't they know that if the car is parked on my street it probably wasn't stolen... 3rd... what was the need of towing it when it's right outside my house??? so i couldn't get my car yesterday cause it was sunday... and i can't get it this morning because they don't open until after i have to run to work.... incompetence... thats all i can say... or they just lied to me... either way my car is in the impound lot... nice hippy

yea desk clerks at police stations are usually worthless, myself, family, and friends have found out the hard way. I always take names, write down the gist of what was said, and get a phone number and dates. Then i call someone else to double and sometimes triple check if it is of importance.
By the way, how did the car get moved in the first place?
