Cops at the Hotel- Front Desk Toker (me)
This happend 3 minutes ago.
So I smoke weed very often, and I work at a hotel. Tonight, I'm working as the night-auditor.
Now, at my job, I'm the only person in the building (employee wise), so I have a lot of "freedom" to do what I want. I often smoke during my shifts- it makes it a lot more pleasant of a job, obviously.
Tonight, the hotel is full (52 rooms) and I get on work at 11pm. Kinda busy at first, dying down to nothing roundabout 1am or so. I rarely see anyone from this point up until around 6 or so, especially on a weekend.
I do all my audit work, whatever, browse on grasscity for a couple hours, and my friend shows up at 3 (just showed up, not planned. this happens very often during my night shifts- it's nice to have company during it, he knows that, and therefore often stops to see what's up).
Firstly, I go out to my car and gather my supplies (space case, dank, pipe) and next task is where to smoke (it's a hotel, ha).
So we proceed into the pool back room where all the heaters and filters and shit are, I put my "helping a guest, will be right back" sign up, and we smoke a fat bowl of some great dank I happen to have.
We finish the bowl, close up the room, come back behind the front desk where I sit, and I show him what I was reading about the "budder" stuff. I decide it's time for a ciggarette.
I re-gather my things, and head to the front door (where I park my car) and I've got my pipe in one hand, space case in the other, pill bottle full of dank in my breast pocket to put all the things back in my car. Guess what I see?
COPS. SUV.
So, I BOLT it back behind the desk (we reek of weed, plenty) throw my things on a counter out of site, grab my friend and tell him cops are here, go out a back door and smoke like I've never smoked on a ciggarette for a good 20 sec to get the smell covered up, and leave my friend standing there.
Head up to the desk (on the way back to the desk, there are surviellance cameras at the desk, not ones that record, just so I can see on another tv in the laundry room if someone is here or not) and watch the cops standing there over the camera as I make my way there, get to the desk, and this happens.
Insert- an important part of this story is that I just took my regular dose of lithium an hour before work, and I hadn't taken a dose for at least a week before, and if there's oen thing lithium does to me, it's make me shake. I always shake, but the amount of lithium (my friend said shake like a twig in the wind, describing me) that went in my system, as it should, is enough to make me shake much more than usual. Moderate, visible tremors of my body, especially my hands and arms.
So I get to the desk, shaking and ripped, and the cops I see looking at the welcome paper with my name on it. They say "Hi there Travis, we've had a few complaints in the last hour of some kids throwing rocks at cars right out front here."
I hadn't seen any kids or rocks around for a while, and not having a clue what he was talking about, say "I haven't seen any of that going on." etc. And we go on to discuss the incident, perp's clothes, how many of them, and all. Keep in mind, there are two cops staring at me from different angles, no more than 3 minutes after finishing a bowl.
I tell them how I have to buzz people in, but that there is a back door where people can get in with their keys, and that I hadn't seen anyone. Talking slow the whole time, and shaking like mad.
All in all, in the end, I tell them I'll give them a call if I see anything, and they head out and thank me for the help, addressing me Travis again. They were relatively nice and all.
Right when they leave, I get my friend, sit down, freak out for a second, and see I'm in the real life stories sub-forum on GC. Better write a story, right?
The guys were relatively nice, just mildly affirming the idea of respecting the cop, but not the badge. Some of them are real people, too. (not denying the assholes, that's for sure).
That's my story, if anyone gets entertainment from it, right on. Otherwise, well....
...
smoke some weed. It'll make it cooler.
