Many truly arent worth it and some truly are.
In my raising I had a gay friend who was homeless for a long time. He ended up being one of my best friends. Through him, he tought me to "see" more than most. Theres some truly awesome homeless people out there. I"ve hung and talked to several due to this guy i met back home and it has changed the way i view a lot of things. Through him i met many. He often took in those that nobody else would. Needless to say, he got screwed a few times, but more often then not, they were truly great people. Just being able to sit down and talk with them, hear their experiences, what some of them have actuallly been through can be a life changing event and really change your views on things. At one point he had 2 people living in his small house. While living there they got a job in town to help pay for things in his house and prettymuch cooked him dinner and cleaned his house every day for him in return. They were truly good people. Yes, they drank and so did this guy...but, did I mention they got jobs? We would all pitch in for a bottle and have a good time and share what we had if we had some to spare. there really are some awesome people out there that are just hidden under a cover most people cant see through.s |

like one of my favorite songs say......
" What if he's an angel sent here from heaven And he's making certain that you're doing your best To take the time to help one another Brother are you going to pass that test You can go on with your day to day Trying to forget what you saw in his face Knowing deep down it could have been his saving grace What if he's an angel...." i'll tear up when i think about this song.. they may not be worth it..but you cant say its your fault and you didnt try to help... Karma giveth...karma taketh away...

what can I say...i give ppl the benefit of the doubt till they prove otherwise usually...(unless is some crack whore...)..if somebody looks like a decent person....ya know...
what can I say...I have a bit of a heart left. Its america. So many of us have so much...while others done even have a home... if they arent spending it on booze or drugs....whats a few minutes out of your day..or a few dollars out of your wallet? so many people are so selfish and numb to others........yet another reason why i lose faith in society. it really makes me sad. |

You have a good heart; but be careful, it can lead you to getting screwed over...
Having said that, i agree with the Michael Jordan quote as stated above.... We've all seen the 2020 reports about how they beg for money and jump into their mercedes when it's all said and done... Yet, we all know they aren't all like that....... However, if I earned about $50-70 in a day, i'd go to walmart (let the bashing begin) and buy this list: - 1 Can of Gillette Shaving Gel; with Aloe and Vitamin E for skin rejuvination ($3?)- 1 Pack of disposable shavers; ($3?) - 1 Cheap brush/comb ($5) - 1 Pair of decent pants ($20) - 1 Decent shirt ($20) And then go to the McDonalds inside and ask for an application and apply within the walmart itself.... i mean c'mon, in a single day they could easily turn their lives around.... I'm glad to hear though, that someone like yourself is out there caring for the average person.. someone has to. |
