smoking and usage

hey everyone... new guy here...and i have a bit of a story here...sorry if it's a bit long but it's been goin on a few years...

it started when i first went to college. Both my parents are pretty liberal. My mom was a real hippy back in the day... went to woodstock... travelled crosscountry in a van... lived in a commune... the whole lot! my dad was a bit older but he did his fare share of drugs in his day...nothin too bad.... but the long and the short of it is they both smoked their fair share of pot...

so i started smokin when i first went to college... been smokin ever since... but every so often i'd go home to visit the parents...we'd be sittin in the family room finishin off a bottle of wine and laughin... they know i've been to amsterdam twice and know i smoke... it started with them tellin me just to be careful... eventually it progressed to the past times when they smoked...nothin specific...just generalities... then once my mom asked me if i knew how to roll a joint...then promptly tellin me she should have let her show me!!... oh goodness... so gradually i find out that a lot more of my family smokes than i knew... my cousin... who is 29 or so and a camp counselor.. (oh he loves it! he travels round the world recruiting staff... i think he was in austrailia a little while ago... fun eh?) Also my uncle, who died a few years ago of cancer, used to smoke. When he was on chemo he was in a lot of pain and used it to get an appetite to keep his weight up... come to find out my cousin, my dad and my uncle smoked up when they were visitin!! fun eh??

so my Dad has been hinting he wants to smoke with me... like a bunch of times i've been home he's told me how he smoked with my cousin and my uncle and stuff... we've talked alot about it actually.

So anyways he came up to visit me about a week ago...and then flat out asked me "so when are we going to get high together?" in a joking tone but i could tell he was half serious.... i was like "when you wanna?" then he goes " sometime when i don't need to drive" which wasn't that day cause he was only visitin for the day... but i was wondering... next time i'm home should i bring some green? get stoned with the dad? i really think it'll be fun as hell

anyone else have an experience with this?

No, but it sounds like a good time. I wish my dad would toke, he needs to chill the fuck out...

you should totally man. but itll probably be a bit awkward at first, dont you think?. my dad said he wanted to smoke with me about a month or so ago. but i never brought it up. idk i guess im waiting for the right time haha.

Dude for sure. Im sure hes been waiting to do it ever since he heard about it, and it would probably be a father son moment that you can look back on.

Do it. Blaze with him. Just tell him that you're going to step outside and have a little green smoke. Ask him if he want's to join you.

By doing this, you are showing them respect (by not smoking in their house), responsibility/maturity for not asking for their permission, and also you are giving your father an invitation that he has so badly waited for.

ok quick update...

so the thursday before i went home for the weekend i went to my coworker's big smoke up in his house... tons of people... so many blunts... and i accidentally smoked all my weed... hehe

so i didn't have any for taking home.... but i just got me a quarter and i'm saving a bag of it for taking home.... it's the holiday (passover) and my family is comming up to visit... my cousin and her boyfriend, who is a musician, are comming too...thinkin about bringing up the subject again... hey musicians always toke up!

so wish me luck... we'll see where this takes us...

I'd smoke up my mom and dad! Man if I smoked with them I would feel so much better when I do it. Knowing that they smoked with you means they are okay with you doing it, which helps.
