Lets start with a little introduction, im 19 and after high school I ditched college to go work with my dad, he has a pretty successful Jewelry buiesness, and ive been working with him for about a year. Now when my dad was younger he was a hardcore hippy he got me into Floyd, zep, and the Beatles. I even have pictures of him chugging a huge bottle of scotch. Anyway he is about 50 now and he became religious now. He has caught me smoking 3 times twice by him, one by the pigs, and he was furious every time. Now i know 2 of his close friends smoke and he admitted it to me. Once because i found weed in his bathroom, he said one of his friends brought it over and he told him to flush it down the toilet and he "guesses" that he just left it their (i was really really high when he was telling me what happened so im sure he didn’t say it like that). And the other friend of his, his son is a friend of mine and he found an ounce of bud in his room, and i told my dad about it and he said ya he smokes. Now everyday at work he leaves for about an hour and he says he is going to see what other stores have and what not, but when he comes back he is very quite, laid back, tired and clears his trout every 5 minutes. Usually my dad is a very loud, bossy, nervous person. Now last night i went to his room and he was in the bathroom and i knocked on the door and said "dad" i heard a noise and he sounded very startled and he said "ya". then i noticed he had his laundry basket (its a big heavy metal one) in front of the door. (the way his door is its two doors and they open like a butterfly kind of and their is like a little room between the two doors so you can see what is their threw a little crack.) So i go "can you open the door i have a question" He goes "im naked im going to the shower ill come to your room in a minute" I was suspicious so i stayed outside his bathroom door listening, and trying to see if i smell anything... i didnt smell anything but i heard a lighter flickering. (ohh btw also i know he wasn’t taking a shit cuz he has a huge bathroom and i heard him talking from the side that doesnt have a toilet. So 5 minutes after i said dad can you just open the door i have a quick question, he answers "go to your door ill call you" <- read carefully, then i answer "what!?" he goes "go to your phone ill call you" so i go to my room (the basement) then i hear my house phone ringing so i run up and he goes "ok what did you wanna ask me" i go to him "i just wanted to know what time we r going to work tomorrow" He goes "idk ill tell you tomorrow"......My aunt (his sister) got into a fight w/ him not to long ago and when she had a fight w/ him she told me "your dad used to do drugs". I tried to go into detail w/ her but she didn’t want to, i guess she kind of regretted saying that.

Now im like 90% sure he smoked at least like 3 times a week, but i cant get him to admit it... I dont really care but i just wish he would be open to me about it, so i can be open to him about it....

Basically what im trying to get out of posting this is how I can get my dad to admit it, and let him be cool about me smoking?

I know its a long read, but i thank you for reading, and your suggestions.

I did, the first time i asked him he said no never.
Second time i asked him he said once but i didnt like it.
third time he said ya i used to do it once in a while, but not as much as you used to (lol). He knows i was a big time pot head, but back then i didnt have my shit strait, now i smoke less still usually atleast once a day but he doesnt know cuz i have all my shit strait.

Maybe your just trippin. The evidence (if correct) says that he blazes but that all depends. Were you high when you noticed all these things?

There are two possibilities on that bathroom scene. He was either token up or, 'jergen his gurgen', if you know what im saying.

Hmmm... what if you took some of your stuff and told ur dad that u found it somewhere (in his room or something) if he makes up a story about it, you know he is trying to hide that hes smoking, if he is like what the hell where did that come from, then yea... Don't know if i would try that, but i thought it sounded kinda funny.

But i mean seriously, if you heard a lighter flicking in his room, and he lied about taking a shower, then i don't see how there could be any doubt (unless u where completely stoned every time you thought he was smokin)

Most likely he smokes. But I'm pretty sure the reason he's denying is that he doesn't want you to be like I can do it because you do. Just be honest and present the facts you got.

I mean, i have found pot, and rolling papers and a dutch and he still denies it... like i know pretty much for a fact but he keeps saying no no no... :/
And bongzilla you are totally right, but the thing is i dont want to give him the fact then him denying it and then ill get fucked over.

okay i dont mean to be a douche bag. but the next time you find any weed or a pipe or anything that you could easily point out to him that he was smoking.. .just take it from him... and hold onto it until he says something. then u can just be like.. you smoke, your an asshole, i get greens. and toke it.
