kind of funny that this is my first post on this site (iv been reading this site for a while though), but me and my buddy had a pretty shitty experience the other night and i need to vent to some understanding people (fellow stoners

). anyway, a few days ago me and my buddy drove up to new hampshire to go snowboarding. we rented a cheap hotel room, making sure to get a room in the back of the building away from people so we could burn in peace (or so we thought). the second day we were there, we came home from the mountain around 4ish. as soon as i sat down and started to take my snowboarding shit off, the door knocked. i asked who it was, they said they were the police. FUCK! they then opened the door with a key the hotel owners had provided them with. they gave me the warrants to search the hotel room and my car, and end up arresting me and my buddy. they took over 1.5 ounces of some commercial hydro, a couple grams of some killer sour diesel, two pipes, a dope ass pyrex bong (similiar to a roor), a glass-on-glass vaporizer, a scale, a couple nice big nug jars and some papers. so it turns out contrary to me and my buddy's belief, the cleaning lady came daily. apparently she smelt weed and saw some evidence of pot on the table and shit (ashes/shake) and told the hotel owner, who then notified the police. we bailed ourselves out that night and drove home.

anyways look im not asking for anyone to say it isnt our fault because it still is. we could have been more careful. but still, damn, i wish these stupid fucking cops and just the country in general would stop being so damn ignorant towards pot. i mean for real man, me and my buddy just lost close to $1000 in property, and face charges which will probably just be resolved by giving the fucking state even more money when we go to trial. all over what? a fucking flower. (a beautiful one at that).

Wow bro...sorry to hear that man. It's true that the law sucks as far as the legality of pot. But the cops are doing there jobs by finding illegal substances and all. Sucks that you lost all of that though. Better luck with whatever comes your way!

You'd be in Jail 1.5 oz+,Scale=Possesion with intent to distribute,Plus I assume the sour disel was in a diffent bag then the other weed so theirs more to get you on intent to distribute.
So I'm gonna call B.S,also how would they get a warrant within a few days for your car and hotel room for just some shake?

in america a seed or stem is enough for a warant and also enough to charge you. If someone calls the cops that they believe to be credible, that can get them out there with a warrant pretty quick. Plus most of the time smell is all the cops use is smell and say you look high. Really if a cop wants to fuck your day up its pretty simple for them to do, which is why I say "Yes, sir" or "No, sir" instead of "fuck you pig"

note: there is a difference inbetween a good officer and a pig, I just know more pigs than good cops.

Not to be an ass...but if you drive up for a weekend. over an ounce and a half is way too much. Plus, on top of that, you have ALL of that paraphenalia, which is WAY overkill.... smoking IN a hotel, when the maids come every day, and leaving ashes on the table. You kind of set yourselves up =\

I totally agree with this guy. Driving up with all that stuff must have been some sketchy business. You should have been smart and taken only what you need.

ya we kinda realized that. but in regards to that dude that said i was b/s, na man we deffinently got screwed lol, u honestly think id type all that shit up for nothing? but the reason we didnt get charged with intent to distribute was pretty much the result of not being dick heads to the cops.

That sucks but for the most part should have been totally preventable. You should have had a sign for the maid to not clean. I don't trust maids as is, and with all those pieces and weed in the room Id never let them clean simply because if they smoke they might take it, and if they don't well the cops would show up.

Ive been caught my fair share of times, always talked my way out of any tickets or fines. The thing is each time its happened I warned my friends I knew it was sketch and high risk, but no one wants to listen until its too late. (Like the time I smoked 5 blunts in my friends dorm lol he assured it was safe since it was a weekend before break, sure enough after the 5th blunt 'knock, knock' its the police. (We had 4 different 8ths bagged out, two bowls and a grinder, along with blunt guts all over the floor. They found a grinder and I refused to let them search my bag which had the rest in it. Got kicked off campus for a week thats it)

People don't realize that warrents don't take long to get in most cases, all they have to do is talk to a judge. Warrents that take a while are when there are investigating someone for say dealing and need to make sure to take proper steps so the case will hold.

One thing thats just kind of ironic is two of my best friends went skiing in aspen, took 2 zips of sour diesel with them, and my friends $400 bubbler, along with a box of dutches. They had a similar set -up going.

Well that sucks man. Was it NH staties or just regular po po? I've had my run ins with the NH state police and it was not that fun, but they didn't suspend my liscence and actually dropped the speed from 96 to 90.

Good luck though, and I'm sure you learned your lesson.
