I figure as long as mitt romney, perry, bachmann and one other republican stay in the race, he might have a shot at winning the primaries. If candidates like romney or bachmann drop out, those votes will be split between paul and perry/romney with the majority going to perry or romney.

luckily it doesnt look like romney is gonna drop out, neither will bachmann, and obviously not perry. However I think in the more liberal states ron paul can win those primaries. Since alot of the liberal base is fed up with the wars and many are turning to ron paul and theres not as many neo cons. So id expect paul to do well in the blue states.

I do not believe he is a front runner as some have said, its still to early to tell. Right now all ron paul supporters should be doing everything they can, do not think "oh hes got such a small chance of winning, theres not much point in volunteering or supporting his campaign"

When the primaries are about a month away from my state, I plan to spend about $100-$200 and buy a shit ton of ron paul signs and stickers off the campaign website and post them in as many places as i can. On top of this printing out some documents that break down why people should support ron paul that generally appeal to everyone but primarily liberals, since thats the majority around here, then take these printed papers and put them in mailboxes or tape them to mailboxes.

I may also consider volunteering for his campaign and going door to door depending on my schedule. We all need to do our part and put some time in. Posting support for ron paul all over the interwebs might wake people up, But in the long run theres a time where we all gotta get off our asses and actually physically do something.

Theres was a ron paul poster MJU1983 posted, where it showed all the candidates from 2008 and written on them were different names of corporations. It would be nice if we can make one for 2012 and show all the 2012 candidates (including obama) with corporations written on them. People can easily print those out and simple put them in peoples mailboxes or tape them:devious: lol, If you dont feel comfortable doing it in broad daylight for whatever reason, do it at night.

You might think oh well what if hes just another politician (corrupt) and hes just posing as the savior. Well I doubt it, but even if that were the case, what do we have to lose? Would you rather support obama or perry? Or do nothing? Point is hes the only chance weve got.

    edit:
another reason why i think the corporations poster is a good idea, is because its quite neutral, and it will peak peoples interest. People will then do a bit of research on ron paul, and they may even get out and vote for him. So finding those neutral grounds is key for this campaign i think, to get peoples interest. Going out and saying obama is evil, or obama is a socialist might work in some area's, but remember we need to appeal to everyone and you dont want to sound like a "extremist" because then people will simply ignore you.

  2. It is not up to the media to decide who is electable.

That is the decision of the voter; er uh .. in an honest republic anyhow.

We have a corporatist, fascist state that is posing as a republic in order to keep the people quite until full enslavement is in place.

Yes, of course the media is in on it...whole hog!!!!

  3. /agree

what will you do to help ron pauls campaign?

thats what id like to know.

  4. On Paul's electability: he's the only electable Republican in the running.

On what I'm going to do: Right now I am trying to convince people I know to register Republican to vote for him in the primary. Once the primaries get closer I will probably help the Campaign for Liberty within Boston with whatever they plan to do. Boston is still pro-Democrat, but even most Democrats prefer Ron Paul over the rest of the Republican field.

  5. Educate people and expose the truth.

Every man has a God given right to the truth.

  6. The poster with the corporations written on the candidates is a fantastic idea. It's not in your face, it will peak interest in them, causing them to learn about his ideas of liberty on their own. And things you learn about yourself and discover naturally on your own is way more persuasive and deep than something some biased poster throws in your face.

Let's make a poster for this year's race, put a big version of it on grass city and everyone on the boards can just quick download the file and print out however many they want, and distribute them in their area however they please.

Another cool idea I had was, seeing as so many of his supporters are the youth, we can do different, more crazy things to show support than all these older people who support the other idiots. I'm talking like hanging big signs on a really noticeable area in your town that everyone will see, or like chalking up an entire downtown sidewalk with Ron Paul quotes and pictures and shit. Something like that really has an impact.

This is a true grassroots revolution, lets fucking do some crazy shit.

we will need someone with good photoshopping/artistic skills. If someone can find/post the 2008 corporations ron paul poster "cough MJU1983 cough", that will be a start.
The thing about this idea is most people (if you have a printer) can just print out 30-40 copies. and tape them around town, at bus stops, mailboxes, wherever.

Like you said, its much better if we just get people interest in a non-partisan way so they research it on there own. Many americans are in that state of mind where they never really paid much attention to politics but they know somethings up, we just need to show them the way. Infact this is how many of us including myself have woken up.

its time to start fighting back. This seems like our last chance. Write ron paul 2012 on dollar bills, whatever we gotta do.

  8. Umm, I was pretty much always high in guberment class last year lol.

How does this whole thing work on the democratic side? Are there democrats trying to beat out Obama for a spot on the ticket?
Or does the prez just auto win?

  9. The system is portraying the revolution as terrorism.

  10. its not that bad yet

yes obama will be the on the democratic side. no other democrat is running against him yet. But generally the incumbent is always on the ballot.

  11. Well Bachman just blew it by trying to celebrate Elvis' birthday on the anniversary of his death. Perry blew it with his heil Hitler gesture and who cares about the other republican candidates. Obama is just exhausted and desperate trying to pass his secretive socialist bills.

Ron Paul will be elected if people take the time to get educated outside of the mainstream media.

  12. one problem here..

liberals don't vote in republican primaries.

  13. democrats dont vote in republican primaries. Ron paul brings together people of many different political ideologies. I know 3 liberal/progressive that voted for obama, and now there voting for ron paul.

  14. i hope you're right man..

in some states you have to register (R) in order to vote.. will registered (D)'s register (R) for this? know a few will.. but will enough of them do it?
    I hope so..

  15. I think it has something to do with whether the primary/caucus is open or not, if the primary is open I think independants can vote.

  16. The man has common sense and doesn't flip-flop. I like him for other reason but when I first started watching his speech's on TV that was the first thing that got me. A politician who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes? OMG!

  17. exactly here is the end all that people dont understand.

We dont care for politics. Nobody really honestly cares, but Paul is an IDEA, that can never be taken away and it will bloom and flourish.
That alone will bring the most voters EVER to this next presidency. Because people do not want Ron Pauls message to die.

His word is so good that people have it hard to control NOT to tell people when they come face to face with naysayers. Then we usually win them if they give us a chance.

  18. Another unrelated question lol. Is there I can go to see Ron Paul's campaign dates/stops?

I would really like to know in advance if he ever comes to Tennessee

  19. I've already been doing this.:D All of them say Ron Paul 2012 and they all have some other statement on them like: "do you agree with george?", "Do you support the consitution?", "Want more wars? Don't vote", "Are you tired of the status quo?", and I crossed out the value of the currency and wrote the equivalent in ounces of gold(ie. .00056 ounces of gold for 1 dollar) and wrote "(and dropping)"

I'm currently trying to start an Students For Liberty chapter at my college. I will hopefully accomplish not only getting people discussing the ideas of liberty, but going out and educating people on the ideas of our constitution and so forth. As well, we will be supporting Ron Paul in the coming election, and I plan on buying 1000 copies of the constitution from the NCCS for 300 dollars, in which I plan to hold a few fundraisers to obtain the money. Eventually we will go out and campaign with the constitutions as well as a pamphlet about Ron Paul's policies and what he believes in, etc.

I hope it works. I have to get 2 student advisors to support me, and I have to write a constitution. Any help from people on this site I can get would be most appreciated. (posters, etc)

  20. he'd be more electable if the media made him electable, like they do with the other candidates.

If they went all goo goo and gaa gaa over him like they did w/ Obama, and like they do with Perry. Romney etc..

    then he would be electable.

If the media ignored Obama and gave Hillary all the attention, then she would be the president.
