Obama Backlash Begins

Some good news this morning.

OBAMA FAILS!

I can hardly wait for next November.

If the dems keep up their current asinine tirade against Americanism, freedom and democracy then they may end up losing big in the next election cycle.

GOP Gains Could Hurt Obama Political Capital, If Not Agenda

Republican gubernatorial wins in New Jersey and Virginia mark a troubling turn for President Obama, whose personal efforts couldn't stop the fall of Democrats facing a voter backlash

WASHINGTON -- Republican gubernatorial wins in New Jersey and Virginia mark a troubling turn for President Obama, whose personal efforts couldn't stop the fall of Democrats facing a voter backlash over the economy and a notable uptick in the government's would-be role in people's lives.

Re: Obama Backlash Begins

I posted this in the other thread, but its more relevant here. The MSM is in their typical Democrat damage control mode.

NBC's Gregory Downplays GOP Wins on Today

Quote:
NBC's David Gregory, on Wednesday's Today show, downplayed the huge GOP wins in New Jersey and Virginia as merely reflecting the "anti-incumbency mood," and "the change message that Obama" started last year. Gregory, however, did play up Democrat Bill Owens win over Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in the New York 23 congressional race, and even more absurdly Bob McDonnell's win in Virginia as evidence that the Republican's path to victory is to go moderate, as the Meet the Press host postulated: "What's striking is you have the results in New York 23, which Democrats will hold up as a great result for them, but then you have McDonnell winning in Virginia, a purple state. He's a social conservative for his political career, yet he runs more as a pragmatist, as more of a centrist and look at the result. He wins big, wins big among independent voters."
WaPo's Marcus: 'Ignore the Hype,' Virginia Landslide Means Nothing

Quote:
On the home page of the Washington Post website this morning, the headline for liberal columnist Ruth Marcus is "Ignore the hype." Inside the newspaper, it's "As for Virginia goes, not so much." Marcus advises that this GOP landslide is all some meaningless fairy tale:
Advice to readers about the coming orgy of analysis about the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial elections: Ignore it. Disquisitions on The Meaning of It All for President Obama or the 2009 results as a harbinger for Congress in 2010 have scant basis in reality.

Over-interpreting election results is an occupational hazard for political reporters. This problem is particularly acute in the year after a presidential contest, when we are suffering from a bad case of electoral withdrawal.
ABC, CBS, NBC Go Palin Bashing: GOP at ‘Lowest Point’ in History

Quote:
UPDATE: Not wanting to be left out of the Palin slamming scene, ABC's "Good Morning America" joined the fray on Nov. 4, interviewing the same people as CBS' "Early Show" and criticizing Palin on the same points.

From accusing her of igniting a civil war within the Republican Party to calling her "nutty" antics a "treasure" to the Democrats, the mainstream media is once again shamelessly slamming Sarah Palin.

On Nov. 3 CBS' "Early Show" interviewed Scott Conroy and Shushannah Walshe, co-authors of "Sarah from Alaska," a "very revealing" book about Palin on the campaign trail.
"Later this month, Palin's highly anticipated memoir hits bookstores," said CBS' Harry Smith. "But another book beats her to it."

To start off the interview, Smith asked Conroy (who, by the way, also works for CBS) to explain what was going on "behind the scenes" when John McCain gave his concession speech on Election Day last year.

Conroy wasted no time painting Palin as a media hungry mongrel

That is part of the reason Limbaugh is so huge.

He predicted every word that the liberal media would utter before they ever said it.

Why are you so excited? What is going to change next November?

Obama's been failing since the day he got into office. The Dems and Republicans are both against freedom, and Americanism. The Republicans only get to pretend they are for those things now because they have no power.

It just proves that liberalism/communism sucks and Obama is an epic fail.

Re: Obama Backlash Begins

It's just trading one dictator for another. Both the two major parties are anti-freedom and economically ignorant. Both want more taxes, bigger government, less freedom -- they just want them for different reasons. Why people continue to support either of those parties is something I have yet to figure out. Every election cycle its the same thing. People get mad at one party and put in another only to find out that the newly elected party is no different than the previous so they switch again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. And all we get is more laws, more regulations, less freedom, higher taxes and more spending. I'm starting to think the vast majority of people in this country are just functioning retards and nothing else.

Re: Obama Backlash Begins

What are the hallmarks of America today?, Sports, Materialism, Fame, Money, fucking American Idol, Security, people who are given their reaity are so fucking retarded that they cant think for themselves, they will never know how precious freedom is or was, you have to fight to maintain freedom, and excercise it or it will inevitably be taken away by some tyrant.

This. Also, many people just don't vote because either they are lazy or they don't feel it will make a difference. Here in Texas we just had a vote for 11 propositions for the state constitution and only 3% of the voters showed up at the polls. 3%... That's disgusting, even if they are only state propositions.

In any case I agree with you that both parties are full of fail. Partisanship is no longer about different ethics and values, it's about different lobbyists, corporate interests and what empty promises will get you the most votes.

Fuck the Dems. Fuck the Republicans. They both suck.

Re: Obama Backlash Begins

This thread is one big facepalm.

How is this a backlash on Obama?

In every election since 1976, Virginia has elected a governor who is from the opposite of the party who is in control of the white house.

The same is true for New Jersey.

Bill Owens, a Democrat, won in upstate NY yesterday against a far right conservative candidate who was endorsed by Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, etc. He is the first Democrat to win in that district in over a century.

When polling results from the Virgina race were released, something like 53% said their choice for governor had nothing to do with Obama.

Also, Deeds (the Democrat who ran for governor in Virginia) lost because he wasnt a progressive and didnt stand for progressive issues, i.e. healthcare, climate change, labor issues, etc.

I get that you are unhappy with America's choice of president, but his failure is good for no one. More to the point, your thread is not an Obama failure unless your wearing a pair of "Glenn Goggles" or have been drinking on "Limbaugh's Lemonade"

Re: Obama Backlash Begins

i told everyone he would be hated no more than a year into his first term, and would NOT be re-elected.

It feels good to be right, so far. Don't let me down you damn sheep!

he's gotta actually do something positive in the next 3 years to sway the people.

People won't even wait 3 years for a football coach to turn a team around before they fire him.

This is America, and god dammit we are running out of patience.
