Not by a long shot. Leaving the middle east doesn't end the war. Leaving Somalia got us 9/11. What do you think leaving this war will get us?

Why exactly is Mr. O'Reilly wrong here?

If we leave Aghanistan the Taliban will regain control of the country. What happened the last time the Taliban achieved statehood? They used the protection of statehood to enable Al Qaeda to train 19 men for a certain operation in September of 2001.

Bin Laden's hatred for the United States started long before Somalia. His hatred came from the U.S. occupying Islamic "holy lands" (Saudi Arabia) and also the U.S. support for Israel, especially Israeli occupation in Palestine and military support for Israel in general. And the large amount of oil drilled in Saudi Arabia that is sold to the US, which he considers wasteful and an exploitation of the resources. The sanctions agaisnt Iraq in 90's by the U.N., which was sponsored by the U.S. and the U.K., the sanctions were somewhat responsible for killing an estimated 1 million innocent Iraqis...half of them being children.


Somalia might of added to Bin Ladens' hatred for the United States, but i dont think that it is "what got us 9/11".

Expert? Everyone on here pretends to be an expert, including yourself!

The reason 9/11 happened is because are government thinks it has the right to stick its nose in other peoples business. People around the world dont hate us just to hate us, they hate us for are imperialistic foreign policies. If we just kept to ourselves im we wouldnt be in a war and 9/11 wouldn't of happened. All of it is our own governments fault

They trained in Germany, Pakistan and the United States as well.

The entire operation was centralized in Hamburg, Germany...

15 of the 19 men, and Bin Laden, are Saudi Arabian... yet we continue to lavish their dictatorship with aid.

The Taliban offered Bin Laden to the US for proof of his crime. Other than that they really didn't do anything to us.

First of all, pulling out of Somalia caused 9/11? Oh boy. Foreign interventionism in the first place, horrible US sponsored sanctions, and the blowback that came from these things and every other injustice your administrations have inflicted on the Middle East (in my opinion ) would be a little more important to mention/blame.

The 9/11 Commission Report was a complete hoax. More than half of the writers don't believe what's written in there. Perhaps it is you who needs to go back and re-read it.
