the scandanavian system is just a more highly regulated capitalist system, all that means is there isn't much to dream for for small buisness owners, the reason there is no scandanavian version of mcdonalds, or dkny in the US, they have no incentive, theydon't produce, and technological advancement is slow.

think with your mind and not your heart buddy, it sucks that nature is so cruel but it is, and if humans lose their instinct to work because morons like you tell them it's ok to not contribute to society they learn to live off of the efforts of others, that's when you get scandanavia.

How about you name a country that has gone to war for reasons other than their own self interest. Just because the US had it's own interest in mind doesn't mean it wasn't a good idea for us to get involved. Are you going to argue we should have let North Korea take over South Korea in the 50s?

There's something fundamentally wrong with this statement, IMO. The interests of the US (read: government) should be in-line with those of its people, since it is supposed to be a government "by the people and for the people". It shouldn't have its own interests at all other than those it was created for which have everything to do with its people and nothing to do with its self.

Sadly, most threads in this forum are overrun with opinionated garbage. The problem is that most people don't use logic in their daily lives, so how could you expect them to do it on an internet forum? Most people rely on their emotions and wits in arguments rather than logic and reasoning. A lot of it has to do with television and how we've seen other people argue.

Obama is extremely overrated and anyone who disagrees with that isn't correctly informed on modern politics. He might be a very charismatic, well spoken individual but what he isn't is a good leader for the United States. He has done absolutely nothing in his presidency up until now and thats a fact. In order for Obama to win the Nobel Peace prize it means that he would have had to have been nominated by the committee only 12 days into his presidency, crazy right? And a little side note...he should give up on his public health care option. It was brought up in the 1940's and ever since then it has been denied and should continue to stay that way. He is so ignorant to America's needs and much more in check with his own (weak) political agenda. Less government is ALWAYS better and it has been proven. This past week elections where the GOP took over VA and NJ shows the uneasiness of the American people in Obama's plan. Use your mind everyone, don't go along with everything that is said just because everyone else is doing it. keep tokin

correction, There are only actually 24,000 human beings living in the US.
