Private Death Squads(real) vs Fake Death Panels

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Medicine Al, Aug 20, 2009.

  1. In case you've been confused, here's what the former looks like, I'll get some shit on the second, the minute there is anything but fantasy there.

Dick Cheney's Porno Production Presents...What Do American Nazi's Look Like?

The Bush Administration won't talk openly about anything they did, and continue to insist they were acting on our National Interest, but it would appear, they were nothing but a funnel for money, to RIGHT WING FANATICS,

Which probably explains a lot about the right wing fanatics, doing all the yelling right now, about 'healthcare'.

It's a thief's tactic, to yell 'Look, over there', while they set you up for a robbery.

It was a Bush/Cheney tactic to yell Terrorist, while they committed acts of outright treason.

I just thought we should remember the goodness and wonders of the men who sought to make us all speak Oilman.

There are no death panels in healthcare reform, that is obvious, but there definitely are millions of heavily armed right wing fanatics, screaming in the night, about their right to kill others as being the source of their 'freedom'.

I just wanted to draw the comparison, between fanatics with guns, and fanatics who lie, and fanatics with guns who are also liars.

Because the right-wing in America is doing all of that.

  2. Obama is assassinating women and children everyday in Pakistan with our drones.

And you act like we aren't still paying Blackwater millions of dollars? ($174 million since Jan).

I agree with everything other than your implied notion that Obama isn't guilty of the same crimes as Bush.

Keep up the fight against hypocricy. :smoking:

That death squads thing was debunked months ago. You guys love to talk about misinformation, yet you thrive on it. Half the shit you guys beleive about Bush/Cheany is utter bullocks with no evidence to back it up!

You hate Bush and Cheany for fighting our enemies. You hate them for waterboaridng mass murderers in order to save Americans from another attack. Yet, you ave no problems with the white house and media attacking and ruining the lives of Americans who simply disagree with Obama. You have no problem, waterboarding people like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. You people just make no sense at all.

As for the source of this information, what if I posted an article making all kinds of wild claims about Obama, but was from Foxnews? I guarantee you guys would be in here dismissing the news as propaganda. Yet, you have no problems believing in news from left wing fanatics. The same type of hypocrisy is abound. For instance, the NYT outed an actual secret Gitmo agent, even though he and the CIA requested that they didn't. Yet, where is the outrage?

MSNBC and the NYT are both propaganda outlets for Democrats. Nothing you read or watch from them can e taken seriously.

I agree, Obama hasnt done anything different. Blackwater is still on the State Dept. payroll too. What a joke.

Ill quote Barney Frank, "On what planet do you spend most of your time?"

  5. aaronman, is there a reason you are equating two opposite ends of a spectrum, other than continuity?

Contracts made by others must be honored, even if they were deals with the devil.

Obama is as powerless against the Pentagon as Ron Paul would be, if Ron Paul had the guts to run.

Which he did not, and we've covered all those bases.

I am not fighting hypocrisy, I am not fighting anything. I am staging a peace against liars, with the intent of showing the malignancy of America's tumors.

These CIA-Blackwater links are real, and I am certain that there is much, much, more to this.

To say that Obama is carrying the football Bush handed him, is to call him a team player. I realize that to a Ron Paul fan, that is sacrilege.

But, in a real world scenario, the political practicality of canceling these contracts for any cause, would possibly set off a civil war, led by the right-wing fanatics, who have decided, "Fuck The Truth", and "We hate Obama so much, it doesn't matter".

Bush was openly grooming a private army, and I'm not so sure, they aren't still loyal to HIM.

These debates of yours are tiring, aaronman. Let me know when Dr. No is ready to call himself a libertarian, and we'll talk sincerity.

Dr. No, if elected, will have the same bullshit to confront.

  6. Opposite ends of what spectrum? Social policy has nothing to do with Foreign policy, as far as I can tell Obama's only difference is in his ability to not piss other people off when he speaks, and his willingness to talk with people.

Read the article; most of the contracts are old, some are new, and more are being requested. Hasn't enough dirt been released on Xe that we can stop signing new contracts with them?

Ron Paul would at least try, when has President Obama spoken out against our ever expanding foreign empire?

Well you're exposing hypocrisy of the Bush supporters, and I commend that.

What evidence do you have that the right wing vehemently supports Blackwater?

I'm sorry, would you rather I just don't respond in your threads?

Dr. No, if elected, would actually confront the bullshit and not just leave his supporters to assume that he's working on change in secrecy.

  7. Why am I not surprised that you adore politicians who obfuscate and lash out at American citizens?

  8. Do you feel that all arguments can be settled with unfounded faith in an untried, untested candidate?

Ron Paul has never been the subject of any scrutiny, because he has never been anything but a red herring, He will do, what a red herring does.

    Put out stink.

If Obama is just like Bush, why do all of Bush's supporters hate him, as if he were the black plague?

Ron Paul is just like Don Quixote, my friend, and that is the nicest thing I can say about him.

Obama is not creating these death squads, and from the bitching inside the Agency, i can tell you that many factions are very worried about where this could lead.

And once again, there are no death panels in the healthcare reform bill. Which is because it is still not, as of yet, written into a votable form.

  9. THERE ARE NO DEATH SQUADS! Its all bullshit! You guys remind me of old people who lived under Stalin and still love him. Many of them don't believe he had anything to do with what happened to them. You guys are the same way, constantly diverting blame for his policies to someone else.

Only because they removed the provision that would have allowed for those kind of panels. Obama himself even alluded to it.

Obama Says Grandmother̢۪s Hip Replacement Raises Cost Questions - Bloomberg.com

What exactly do you think he meant by that?

  10. Hey man, I didn't bring Ron Paul into this, you started attacking him because you know I respect him. I would rather debate policies/ideology.

There are a multitude of reasons I can think of for why the Bushies hate Obama.

    1. They can only hear his rhetoric and not see his actions
    2. FOX News
    3. His views on social policy (Health Care, gun control, abortion, stem cells)
    4. Racism
    5. Standard partisan resentment ingrained in our false dichotomy

All this uproar from 'conservatives' about socialism and fascism, runaway spending... where was it under Bush? These people are gulla calfs. The right-wing voter base has been molded by the GOP into political cretins.

I'm not so sure about what Obama is doing, he is a fan of State Secrets.

And I don't think anyone on here believes in the Death Squads anymore. The palliative care portion of one of the proposals was removed because it was a little disturbing and misleading.

Can you really blame people for being unable to fully comprehend a bill that is over 1000 pages? When they are that long you know they are written by corporate lawyers looking to create as many loopholes for industry.

  11. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWJrlFnM5jo]YouTube - President Obama's health plan for Senior Citizens[/ame]

Whats he talking about? Sounds a lot like what the "death panel" people are talking about.

  12. First of all, that question was ridiculous. The woman in question is 105 years old, what did that have to do with anything?

Secondly, there was no mention of any death panels, merely a peer review system of checks and balances.

I have two very elderly parents, 89, and 90, who are in long term care facilities right now, suffering from dementia, and being treated with prescription drugs, to the tune of thousands of dollars monthly.

I have some reason to share this woman's concern, but it was strictly a rhetorical question, as there is no 'Joie de vive' index, available for us to evaluate how happy an old woman is to be alive.

My mom tells me that since 90, she feels the pressure to perform is finally off, and she can relax and read a lot.

She has a pension, healthcare and stock dividends supplying her with the 3000 dollars a month she needs to stay alive. I have seen the benefits of private insurance first hand, from one side, and the other as well.

I have a lot of experience with medical professionals in America, but I have yet to confront a physician who will deny care to anyone for financial reasons, unless instructed to do so by one of many insurance and hospital review panels, already operating, at a disadvantage to the very people for whom they took an oath that they should be serving.

But most of the Docs I know are also liberals.
