No, you're right. We sent them there. We can knock down any missile that comes at us from NK. Plus like AlkaSeltzer said they don't have the range to reach Hawaii.

imagine if they actually attempted to strike us here in hawaii... and we shot it down. First off i would get to see one hell of an explosion, and secondly what the heck would we do? bomb them back?? thats like allout nuclear war which i gotta say doesnt sound so good.

It is simply a scare tactic. The missile would be expected to fall outside of US waters, which wouldn't be considered an act of war. Meaning the US would not be able to justify an attack on NK.

Don't be scared of them at all. We're testing kinetic bombardment technology on the moon on aug 17! They're entitled to a short range missile launch don't you think? Besides, How many of these kind of missile tests do you really think we do every year???? This is ridiculous bullshit.

And btw, at the same time our press has us scared about some short range missile launch, did you know we are launching ICBM tests right off of the california coast 4000 miles into the pacific towards them? What kinda threat to Korea do you think that is? They're on the defending side of this bullshit, and our media has twisted it so much that it makes it seem like we are the helpless victim here and need to "defend" ourselves. How many stories do you hear about our weapons tests? You don't!! And we test many many more, much much more powerful weapons every month! They just don't have the spy satellites to watch what we're doing!

As a political science student I'd really like to see the sources for that. The US has not detonated a nuclear warhead since the mid 90s, much less anything considered a half decent threat to the North Koreans. North Korea tested a nuclear weapon LESS THAN 50 DAYS ago, and their leader Kim Jong Il, has been quoted saying he desires the destruction of the United States. They are on the aggressive, end of story.

We are constantly testing ICBMs. Not only into the pacific but in our own land.

Ever heard of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site? It's a test site just a little over 1000 miles from Korea to which we fire all of our ICBMs. We're doing it about every month! We just don't hear about our tests.

And if anyone's interesterd, here's our unclassified satellite ICBM launch schedule from the same air force base the missile was launched towards korea from on the 29. The even busier military schedule isn't released until after their launches occur and when/if the Department of Defense clears the release of such information.
