  1. Status?

Last I heard there were like 209 co-sponsors. When will we be heard?

  2. I use Thomas.gov and they show 245 cosponsors

Congress has been in recess since June 29th, will be until the 4th. After that we will hopefully get some more. :)

There's also the Senate's 604 Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, which hasn't been shown much support

  4. I know, terrible. I facepalmed when I heard him say that.

  5. I mean, who would ever want elected officials in charge over a private bank half of the country doesn't understand. That is just lunacy...

  6. Maybe if the Fed Reserve's name was changed to AIG, we wouldn't have issues with it...

  7. I was reading quotes from Ben Franklin's autobiography where he admits twice that he used deception to dupe his fellow legislators into allocating money for things they would have other wise not.

When they wanted to buy gun powder he inserted it as "other grain", and to purchase a canon he ask for a "fire engine."

They will do the same thing with this audit. They will pass a bill to satisfy and pacify the people but it will essentially have no teeth and will not result in any profound changes of the system.

Anyone want to make a bet on it? :p

  8. Don't say that! While you are most likely 100% correct, I still have hope, especially if it is Ron Paul who wrote the bill.

  9. I don't doubt it, but if they do something to preserve their secrecy that will only add legitimacy to our argument.

  10. Your right, bit my lip.

At least we know that Ron Paul will tell us if that actually does happen.

  11. BUt if we audit it, Al qaida will attack this company (country)!

Financial Times: Call for Fed transparency no longer reserved for conspiracy theorists

  16. Isn't that a significant number? Isn't it much more likely to be heard and talked about and passed with that number of cosponsors? Or am I making shit up?

  17. idk about more likely to be talked about, but it's a significant number considering 267 is way more than half of the House.
