to say that our countries foreign intelligence doesnt kno where many dubbed headquarters of al queda are would be a lie. The problem is we cant go bomb them, because that only makes the eksisting terrorists more pissed off and wanting to kill us more. Terrorists can not be defeated in any military way, they are in many cases the result of growing up in the wrong places, where you are fed misinformation since you are a child, and then grow up knowing you are right, knowing that god wants you to do these terrorist attacks. These people only reproduce when we kill one of them. The people effected by the death of a family member, who is a terrorist in everyones eyes, are a lot more likely to become terrorists in the name of vengeance. And a big part of muslim culture is to be veangeful, because of the conditions they are raised in. We make sure that we eliminate poverty and biased education all over the world and you have a lot less terrorists, but with so many peeps in the world there will always be someone who wants to terrorize for sheer pleasure. Those are crazy people, who grew up in the wrong environments.

Obviously you have not read up of the remoteness of the Warzistan region. There is a reason they decided to hide out there.

yea when everyone says we cant do stuff we cant. but cmon man this is a turning point in history where we can get things done we never have, to say you kno the future will never rid of any terrorists unless we bomb them is stupid and naive. im not saying it will be easy or happen soon but cmon man, wtf should we do, bomb everything that hates us. ur one of those people who cant get off of a conclusion once youve made one it seems, even with things that are impossible to make an accurate conclusion on, since its about things that havent happened yet. dont make conclusions based on opinions man, its counter productive.

Vietnam said otherwise. You can't just blanket every military scenario like that. And us paying the Sunnis to stop killing us helped a lot, it wasn't just going on the offensive.

Sure terrorism will always be around, we just have to weaken it specifically Al Qaeda.
If we come up with a better way to deal with it by all means we should do it, but these people don't want to talk.

No I don't think we should bomb Pakistan. I think Pakistan needs to step up its game and I think there needs to be a new strategy on our part too because obviously something is not working. Pakistan has just recently seen what can happen when you have terrorists in your borders.

True it wasn't just us going on the offensive, but having enough soldiers to actually secure a country has helped quiet a bit, this is the strategy we should have had in the first place. I believe we are leaving Iraq in 2011 no matter who gets elected as long as violence does not rise all of a sudden. I don't think Obama will pull out if things look bad because he will be seen as "running away when things get tough".

yeah you have some good points. i think all the candidates are shitty now that Ron Paul is out of it... but thats another discussion. the thing i wanted to say was that we really should have never even gone over there. the US has been selling weapons to anyone willing to buy them for years: iraq, iran: Secretly (the exchange of weapons for hostages during the reagan admin.) and publicly. (Iran-Iraq war) When the border was established, the Kurds living on the iraq side were wiped out by Sadam Hussein. following that, USA increases its economic ties with iraq. btw we supplied them with chemicals and weapons that ended up slaughtering these people. in 1991 the US imposed probably the worst sanctions in history on iraq. these financial and trade embargos, enforced by the US and britain, put the country into poverty killing hundreds of thousands of people. the 9/11 attack was a joke, even compared to the deaths AFTER the attack caused by USA. dont get me wrong, i sympathize for anyone who lost someone but i can see why it could be justified. its kinda fucked up that most americans can live their whole life never knowing about this shit, but these people live (or die) with it every day. a quote from Osama bin Laden:
