Conservapedia

  1. This has been around for a while, but I thought that some people here might not have heard of it. It's such a disturbing concept to me, if only because it clearly states a bias right in its own title, or something that by nature ought to be as objective as possible.

What do other people think about this?

  2. Conservatives need their own encyclopedia. It is a well known fact that reality has a liberal bias. ;)

Honestly, the first time I was linked to Conservapedia I thought it was satire.

Here's a link to the most viewed pages on Conservapedia. It's interesting to see what they are most up in arms about. Two of the top 10 are about homosexuality..for people that dislike gays so much they sure seem interested in them.

  3. I don't think anyone would deny that there's a lot of fighting and spinning between liberals and conservatives. But Conservapedia was specifically created to respond to the perception that Wikipedia was liberally biased. It's fine to want to create a new encyclopedia that you think will be more objective, but come on, they called it "Conservapedia", as in "Encyclopedia for conservatives". And some of their articles are a little ridiculous, if your goal is a source of objective information.

  4. Hahahahahahahahahaha

  5. Is this some kind of horrible joke?

  6. I wonder why they hate Wikipedia?

  8. go figure.. I wonder what percentage of these people get "cured" by this program.

  9. No idea. :confused_2: I just knew programs like that existed, so I google searched for one.
