should i trade my eclipse for a teggy?

i currently have an 03 eclipse spyder gts...its all stock, V6 3.0L 24v 5sp 140k miles. pretty good shape, new tires/clutch.

this guy wants to trade...he has a 2000 acura integra gs-r with a B18C1/I4 1.8L 16v VTEC@4400 5sp 132k miles with intake and exhaust, redlines at 8k

thats the basic outline lol. i want to do it...its older but has less miles, has a few minor upgrades, and i'm sick of my eclipse lol

Ugh. Just awful. The eclipse is one of the worst looking cars ever produced, and the Integra is getting old and they're so common. I see riced out integras being driven by kids everyday because they're old and have gone to the dogs.

That thing has probably been beaten on everyday. If your eclipse runs good just keep that or sell it for cash and buy a different car. The Integra is older, probably slower and everyone and their dog has one.

i see less integras than i do eclipses. the 3g eclipse is everywhere, and theyre a lot ricier looking than teggy's...with the rear end especially.

the good about the eclipse is it has 4 new tires and a clutch that was replaced last march, the bad is i broke the passenger side mirror off, it has cracks in the dash and a chipped windhield, and one of the speakers is blown. it also has 141k miles...

the teggy is in good shape inside, has a few upgrades and only has 132k miles. i wouldnt keep it very long - maybe until 135k miles than trade it on CL for a truck. i noticed on CL a lot of truck owners are sick of having trucks and want something fast and moddable, and will trade their 100k mile truck for a 130k mile car. what i'm trying to do is trade my way down to a car that is as new as i can get lol. cause trucks are easy tot rade as well, for the exact...opposite reason. the fast car owners want something to off road in for a change of pace, and will offer their say 85k car for the 100k truck. know what i'm sayin?

this is why i like craigslist. i can just trade cars once a month if i want lol

id say do it. especially since its a GSR not a swap. i see no downside to the trade.

plus 4 banger vs v6 so better gas mileage. plus its lighter and more agile. the integra is a great car. got any pics of the teggy?

Also it says it has a fresh head rebuild and timing set with 2 new valves which means it prolly broke the timing belt recently....

Looks like a decent integra. If you really want it do the trade. If you can I would take it to, a mechanic before just to be safe.

This. If you get a teggy, gotta throw some coils on it and do the jdm conversion with HID's. So damn sexy, plus not too expensive and you can make money off the swap.

i'm not goin for it. i test drove it today, the paint looks way worse in person, the hood like doesnt fit right, the inside smelled like mold, and the car vibrated like nobody's business, i'm guessing no mounts on the engine when he did the exhaust and i cba to fix all that shit up lol

keep looking for something else to trade for on craigslist. the car u wanna get isnt that much better :/

Smart move on not trading then. The mold smell was probably from a hatch leak, alot of integras have them.

yeah, agreed. i'ma just keep my eye out for a good honda. or maybe even a 2g eclipse, but i doubt anyone would want to trade their eclipse for another eclipse lol.

In my opinion he is wanting way to much for that hatch. Looks like he has just a few cosmetic goodies on it with a Gsr swap. Now if the swap was new then maybe.
