I just bought a new camera and have it set on the lowest quality. It is a 2 megapixel camera and on good quality the size is .5 megapixels. It is still too big to post pics. How do I make the file even smaller so I can post some budshots?

what kinda camera is it......and what programme opens the pics from the camera for you.......usually when the pic is downloaded to your desktop it will open using a programme like exif launcher if it's a fuji camera.........and then you change the size to approx 30% of it's original size and then post it................if that doesn't work open it up in paint etc, and change the size in there till you get it right............hope that helped...........Peace out..........Sid

I don't know if this is a function particular to paintshop pro (7 i think) or jpegs, but I can reduce the number of kilobytes an uploaded pic is by using PSP. To put it bluntly, it degrades the picture, but in a clever manner. It seems like it blends/blurs the pixels together and may reduce colors used. It decreases the image size (kb, not dimensions), but the quality remains immaculate.

HIGH All, did you get any software when you bought your camera? Most cameras come with software that will do what you are asking.
Me I use Photostudio 2000 and it lets me resize the photos I need. You could download Photostudio 5 for a 15 day trial. Not much time but hey...you'll get your pictures on the net. When I resize my pics I do "width 540 and Height 360" hope this helped and can't wait to see some pics Pothead Pete.

I finally got this to work. Check out my pictures at the picture post. Oh yah, that is me with a plant I harvested on September 30th. It weighed in at over 100 grams dry!!! She was a cross between White Russian and Jack Frost!!!! I finally can do some posting!!! Oh ,if you are a cop or in law enforcement just look how healthy I look. I owe it all to my country of Canada for allowing me to legally grow my own medication. I have got my health back because of this wonderful plant!!!Peace to everyone!!!!!!!

I started out growing before I got my section 56. I had no choice as I am also on disability and could not afford the amount of marijuana that was prescribed for me. Pot has brought me back from the face of death!!!!
