I'd also like to add that everyday numbers usually don't get very large. They tend to be 1-4 digits long and thus have the potential to either repeat in another, more similar instance or have maybe one or two of the same numbers represented in an unrelated string. Also consider that a base 10 numerical system is widely accessible because of it's simplicity. Most numbers you come across are really just 0-9. That leaves a lot of room for mixing and matching. This is particularly true when it comes to dates. Not only do you have a short format, but a set format determined by time. Take for example the notion of eating a freshly baked pie on March 14th. Say the idea to bake said pie was conceived around the time you woke up that day. You, knowing that pi = 3.14, wanted to celebrate it amongst you and your 3 friends. However, they aren't so big on numbers so they have no idea why you want to get together to bake a pie, but go along with it anyway. So the four of you make a pie and proceed to get yourselves baked after sealing the deal in the oven. Before you know it, the clock, in pi-day fashion, hits 4:13 and the oven timer goes off. And so you let the pie cool off by sparking up some more bud, elapsing the 4:20 mark before you finally dig in. Point being, your mind acknowledges what the eyes tend to miss and vice versa. There is a lot of visual information your brain is bombarded with at any given instant. To consider all of it at once would be an overload. Quiet the mind of arbitrary clatter and acknowledge the significance of the space around you. You may come to find that silence, both in the audible and visual sense, dominates here. Or you may find the opposite. Perhaps the space is so overwhelming in such quantitative data that you just don't know where to start. Find that sight free of worrisome expectation, but wrought with anticipation. Numbers are so commonplace in our lives and thought process that there is an attachment to them. It is only inevitable that your mind draws these connections. Maybe it's all part of a larger web and string of numbers? Who knows where it'll lead to? More conjecture? Less arbitration? It's really up to you alone to decide how relevant these specific numbers are because the more you consciously attach your mind to them, chances are the more you will see them reoccur.
Yes there are 2 schools of thought on this one, one being that the mind just notices a number more, and the other being that the number is actually created more due to the process of thought. I myself believe the latter.
I get what you guys are all saying about seeing these numbers everyday and it not meaning anything. But that doesn't discount that this has already happened to me with accurate prediction, twice. Otherwise I would think absolutely nothing of it.
Guess you will have to wait until the 8th of March I think that the first time this happened, you may have not thought much of it. The second time you think as you do now, and if you believe this prophecy enough, it will happen again.
But what significance do these numbers hold outside of your mind? To an outsider they are what you describe them to be: bills, dates, solutions. Yes, there is no doubt the way in which you experienced this feeling is indeed unique. If you can accept the digits themselves are that of the ordinary and everyday, then what is to say that this feeling that you have - of this psychic nature - is too, commonplace? Not to take anything away from your experiences of course. It's just that numbers are lined up for us all, everywhere in reality. Not all of it has to make any sense.
I have psychic abilities and have had visions of events later to come true. I will not attempt to prove this, because you wouldn't be able to comprehend it. Also, everybody posses these abilities, some are just more in touch with them then others.
One time there was a lady walking towards me and I had the thought she was going to ask me where the grasshopper killer was. She asked me that exact question. If you were to hook me up to a lie detector after taking truth serum It would say I was telling the truth. I've also had major deja vu moments in my life and a few out of body experiences.
That's some pretty cool shit I got some weird shit kinda in that "psychic" department but totally different, so I'm gonna explains shit and maybe that also happens to you, maybe we just both have somethin weird goin on. So I have had really bad anxiety my whole life and when I was like 10 years old I just stopped having dreams. And it's not how people say you just don't remember it, no nothing goes on, it's just a black space with nothing. I swear. However, whenever my brain decides to have a dream it happens. Now I'm not sayin it is a long time, but every time I have a dream it comes true example: My past dream, I was talking with my brother while I was with my friend and brother in my driveway there was a new car that I didn't know who's it was, we were working on it for some odd reason. My brother goes "yo hold this shit so we can make his honda a ricer"handed me a wrench and told me to hold the hood. I then looked at the car and it was gone, and everythhing goes back to black as always. Keep in mind this is all in my dream. 2 weeks later my buddy that was in my dream and was workin on it with me got a new car, ***the car in my dream*** and the weekend that he got it I worked on it with him.. We put in hood-risers so we had to take off the hood and put it back on. We get done smokin a bowl with the hood propped my bro walks inside comes back with a wrench and says "yo hold this shit so we can make his Honda a ricer" then I tweak the fuck out for a sec. The time before that in my dream I was sitting on the couch in my living room talking to my neighbor about random shit. We had about a 2 minute conversation (I can't remember it, it was like 4 months ago) and the dream goes dark just as always. 2 days later my neighbor comes over and sits on the couch across from me and I ask him a question ***same as in my dream*** I did it unconsciously, and he answers it and we talk about 45 seconds in he says one sentence and I was caught off guard. I heard that before and then I remember the dream reply with what I did in my dream and it goes exactly as my dream did.... I have no idea what it is and I am way too high to make somethin up like this
Apophenia? Magical thinking? These characteristics would make individuals more susceptible to patterns due to their uncanny ability to absorb their environment so to speak. Think artists or shizotypes. Do you see yourself as someone very open to ideas? Individuals like you are very sensitive. Don't take it I'm discrediting your intuition or psychic abilities, but I'm a psychology major and you fascinate me. The number I always seem to gravitate towards is 27, add that you get 9, I was born on September. I have a weird preference for odd numbers more strongly multiples of 3.
Yeah, I'm chill with like, anything. I don't know if you mean ideas literally, or ideas in a broader sense such as religions and cultures. Either way, yes, when it comes to worldly views I approve of anything, I don't think it matters what one's beliefs are so long as it points them in the direction of the greater good, as most religions do. And when it comes to ideas in the literal sense, it's honestly my favorite topic, there is nothing I love to do more than make up get rich quick schemes with my friends, or brainstorm for something to write about, in essence to create things. Also, I can't recall what Apophenia means, but I've heard it in relation to gambling before. If it's relative, I do fancy the casino, and I'm a shark at hold 'em.
Closet-case narcissist caught in his own little void of self-adulation. If you're psychic go out and make the world a better place instead of giving irrelevant predetermined significance to random numbers. Otherwise, shut up and go back on auto-pilot.
See it as you will, if I appear to be bragging then I apologize. I just wanted to share my experience and see what people thought of it. And read my previous post^
I always notice clocks when they're at 12:34. Must be psychic. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
It's self-indulgent nonsense. Wake up from the delusions of grandeur. We all start to notice patterns and constant strings of deja vu throughout the course of our lives. People also have dreams of meeting people they don't know before actually meeting them in real life, and other random occurrences that are hard to explain. But I'm not going to sit here, typing with one hand, and holding my bubbler in the other, and humor the guy who originally advertised himself as "kinda psychic", when he didn't know what movie the Youtube clip was from when it says the name in the title. Nope.
Numbers are of course going to be really common to experience this sort of phenomenon with because we see numbers all over the place every day. Dates, times, prices, etc. Especially when you're talking about three digit numbers. There are only 999 of those, and considering how many we see on a daily basis, it's not surprising that a specific one would come up multiple times and that a number you focus on may come up during times that hold significance for you. If the number you were frequently encountering was longer, if you for instance saw "627182" everywhere then I'd say that's pretty significant and weird. But 249? 314? 308? Seeing those a lot is easily contributed to the frequency illusion and cognitive/confirmation bias. Imagine focusing on say the color red instead. That the color red just happens to appear somewhere every time something significant happens to you. Well that's obviously because there are only so many colors and you'll see red all over the place anyway, but you happen to notice it more when you've focused on it as significant. Same with these numbers.
Everyone has the ability to be psychic, its just easier for some people. Observe your sorroundings when you see these numbers. Your brain/and environment are trying to lead you towards something.
