Are you afraid to die? Why? why not? Were you scared before but not anymore of Death? What changed your mind? Could you ever kill yourself, perhaps because of life situations, etc?

p.s. how would you prefer to die?

A few years ago the though of dying was a little unsettling. Couldn't say what changed, but I just refuse to live worrying about death. Its gonna happen, just trying to enjoy my time in this realm while it lasts.

As far as how I would prefer to die...

Ok,Before I begin I heard your "Pineal Gland" is your Heaven and Hell....

I would only be scared to die if I know I wasn't doing to good......

(Like If I died a life of Work,School,Stress,Bad trips,Parties,Negativity)

(But If I died knowing I tried damn near everything and gave it my best and had more Love than Hate showing,I'll be alright in the "AfterLife")

If you died living any of the "Sins" or "Breaking the 10 commandments"
Then you should kinda worry.

Its not that there is a GOD and DEVIL pretty much your afterlife is based upon your Thoughts and Emotions you've got stored in your brain,From however long you lived and what you did in your lifetime.........It's obvious blades (High Talk)

Have you once,JUST ONCE,seen GOD or the DEVIL??!! No?,Thats what I thought.

But you can feel their presence which is LOVE and HATE (emotions).
So whichever you lean toward the most throuhghout your lifetime is what you'll get a full dose of the most when you Die.........

Kind of. When I'm dead I'll most likely have no consciousness and not care... but I do like living.

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Nope, i have pondered this many times and my conclusion is always no, i wouldn't be, and i'm a little interested if there's anything after death, and if there is then i guess that gives me a reason to not be afraid, because there is something beyond and may not be the end, im not talking about heaven or hell, I'm talking about something spiritual like, idk, i feel indifferent about my death.

It's hard to say, i feel like i cheat death quite often without fear, but when i come really close i freak out. Sometimes i welcome it. I think it all depends on the moment.

Perhaps the only reason we die is because we accept it as an inevitability?

there was a group in the eighties that went around preaching to people that there did not need to die..ever. i saw clippings of some of their meetings and such...they would have people crying and the people would give the preachers of this idea their money, thanking them for all the help they give to people and all the happiness they bring...it was funny...it grow strong i heard, until one of the mainleaders died...that caused some confusion in the ranks..two men and a chick i think it was...cannot remember now.

It used to scare me so much that it caused me to develop certain forms of anxiety known as depersonalization/derealization.

I struggled for 8 months with that, but finally overcoming my fears and realising that because of the inevitability of death and the uncertainty on when it will arrive, life is indeed very short.. and I'm just trying to be as happy as I can be until my day comes.

I'm afraid of life, the part you should be worrisome about.
Death is the easiest thing one can accomplish, life is the hardest.

Letting go of all I know, all I'm familiar with, my life, my things, my sense of being in my reality, among the people I know. I have done this before. It is like a death.

I have felt the idea of physical death approaching too, and was prepared and willing to let go of the known, but it wasn't so easy to do. How can you really imagine what you'd feel about this moment until you find yourself faced with its inevitability? If you know it's coming soon (technically we all know it's coming at some point), and you prepare for it, then you may be able to accept its approach more readily. But if it sneaks up on you unexpected, when there are things you still want to do, when life might not be something you're ready to let go of just yet, then things might not be as easy as some might think.
