if i was a fetus inside of some white trash coke whore, i would rather be aborted than born into that situation.

Trust me, having lived in the deep south, bible belt part of the country for my entire life, i can personally attest to numerous woman's pro-life groups (mainly within churches yes, but thats a huge force). They meet weekly and update each other on the latest news, and organize their demonstrations. A lot of woman feel strongly about the issue on both sides of the coin

having said all that, I'm pro-choice

You're absolutly right, there are alot of women who are pro-life... In all honesty, whatever the reasons behind it being outlawed to begin with really have no barring in today's world, because it is legal, and my true stance on the issue is this, I feel that it shouldn't matter to anyone else what someone does with their body... If you find your self in that situation, than you and who ever the partner is should sit down and decide for yourselves what the best course of action is, and no one has the right to critisize or ridicule you or her based on that decision, because in the end, they are not the ones who have to make that choice. I don't really blame men for it, but I do think that if guys got pregnant, it wouldn't be nearly the issue that it is... and I heart you too Ipack

No matter what side of the issue you are on, that would absolutely be the case.

Im not really sure what "camp" I fall into. At what point does a fetus become a child? Is it conception? Is it when they are born? Is it when they have their first heartbeat? When a childs fingerprints develop?

With that in mind, at what point should the line be drawn? I personally cannot understand how someone could be so selfish to murder thier own child, their own flesh and blood. That fetus that might be growing inside you, is you. You in the sense of its your DNA being passed on, combined with your partner.

With that being said, I can completely understand if a woman was raped. She wouldn't want to carry around a child that is half a rapist. She would have to look at that face, the face of her child and have to remember that expirence. That would be almost too much to bear.

Everyones body is their own choice. Im an avid supporter of this. No one, not a government, not a parent, not a teacher, a spouse, a friend, has any right or feel any obligation to determine this. Unless someones actions are hurting another, you really cannot do anything about it. If someone is indeed hurting themselves. What is the right, the moral thing to do?

I think that abortion clinics need an application process, maybe pre-op conseling. You can always carry your child to term, and give it up for adoption. Yes, in America, the adoption agencies are horrible. But their our plently of kids who grow up fine, and become very successful people.

Think about it. Your child might have become the doctor who cured AIDS, maybe even your child could have brought world peace to the earth. You never will know though, because that baby is no longer here.

So, am I pro-choice, or pro-life? I have no fucking clue.

It seems ironic that it's usually religious groups who oppose abortion, when they are supposed to believe that we are spiritual beings, with souls, and an after-life. You think they'd be happy for the little buggers; get out of jail free, so to speak.

Maybe they're jealous.

If the woman can live with it [the abortion] and I don't mean that in a negative way, then I believe her choice is justified.

Please don't call pro-lifers anti-choice. It's unnecessarily offensive. I don't call pro-choicers pro-death or anti-life. If I was having a gay rights discussion with someone who didn't believe in gay rights I wouldn't call them a fag hater because it's offensive. Be sensitive to other people point of view and you can a useful discussion. Saying anti-choice is a thinly veiled passive aggressive ad hominem attack. You might as well tell me I've got big ears and that's why I'm wrong.

I hate the fact that men who are pro-life and considered sexist. I'm a man and I'm a feminist. The fact my conscience does not allow me to support abortion does not mean I'm trying to assert my dominance over women.

I'm all about what you do to your body is your own choice, that's why drugs should be legal. However, having an abortion is also doing something to someone elses body, the unborn babies. If you really can't take care of the kid, then you still go ahead and have it, then put it up for adoption. There are a lot of successful people out there who were adopted. However, if the unborn child is from a rape, or has an illness that it wlil die anyway, or having it could hurt the mother, then I think it is acceptable. Otherwise, just make sure to take the proper precautions during sex. Condoms, birthcontrol pills, etc.

I'm pro-life, not anti-choice. I believe abortions should be illegal, and so should the death penalty. If you are anti-abortion yet pro-death penalty, well, then that sounds pretty hypocritical. Life is life no matter what, plus I think it's a worse punishment to rot in a cell then to be killed.

So, if you get pregnent cause you didn't use protection, then just put the kid up for adoption, don't kill it

What are you ,like 12 years old...?

Grow up.

I know it's a big complicated confusing ,and for the most part non-christian world , But perhaps with a bit of age/knowledge you'll realize the rights of others ,beyond your little obscure peice of it.

I only read your first sentence..................because
you lost my interest during that time.
