It was introduced by dems. They took the article down, but i posted here when i read it a fews weeks back. Of course, Your relying on dan rather and chris matthews to give you the fair and balanced news lol. I don like foxnews, ever watch hannity and combs? Doesnt get more balanced than that show.It has a right slant, but just as much as cnn has a left slant. Gotta watch them both before i decide. Maybe you should try it. I read alot of articals from various sources. I also do not believe anything hear unless i find out myself. I heard about the oil for food deal Kerrys buddies had with saddam, the reason they opposed the war, way before it was on the mainstream news, but i waited until i had something to back it up with before i posted about it.

Kerry said in the last debate he will "create" 2 active divisions. How do you "create"???? You cant pull troops from a field like carrots. Eather enlistment is running good or he has a plan for the draft. I dont know, so you tell me.

Yes you are right! It was introduced by Rangel and some other Dem (this is not a big issue for me) but it was introduced to bring to light that the only people fighting and getting killed in Iraq are poor people. They were never serious about reinstaing it. It was all show.

We were headed to a recession before bush even took office.

Fact. We lost 1 million jobs in the month following the attacks.
Fact. Airlines are losing money and jobs to this day v/c of the attacks.
Fact. The attacks greatly effected the stock market.
Fact. Not only poor people are in Iraq. 3 buddies who went to my private school are over there. I dont think they are poor. again, another liberal sterotype.

The draft bill was intorduced to the liberals could use it against bush. Their argument is ohhh look there is a bill on congress for the draft, see i told you he was going to start it up.

as for mutiny, most people attacking us in iraq are not from there. How many service men do you know??? I know several, and they all seem to think we are doing the right thing, and if you would stop watching tv you would see that for every death they report, they do not report the schools, shopping centers, banks, being opened since saddam has left power.

If iraq can set up a stable govt, we will get some money back. I think we should cut defense spending in coutries like germany. A better way to save money is to downsize the governemt.

I believe this to be untrue. If there was a recession before the attacks this was ineveitable. Plus a lot of people made money on the staock market during this time by either shorting the market or investing in security or defense companies or gold.

I don't really care about this draft issue. I'm past the drafting age. Plus in some ways I feel it would be good to get different types of people in the Armed Forces so that perhaps people with a conscience could stop the atrocities like Abu Garib.

Oh, But what about the 12,000+ Iraqis that have died. For every American deat that is reported and for every bank that has opened there are 100's of Iraqis who have died, the majority of them innocent civilians killed by American precision bombing.

Part of the origional plan was for iraq to pay us back with some of the money they made from selling thier oil.

come on now, you were in the armed forces. Abu Garib was a prison for the worst of the worst, and i didnt see any violence taking place. They behead us, it is ok. We put panties on their head and we are evil monters.

Most of the dead iraqis are not from us bombs, but from terrorist attacks. Id like to see the facts you pulled that one from.

I dont care about the draft b/c the people in college and the wealthy are not the first ones to go. When we are not at war, the militery is accually a very good way to get a free education.

People are not flying b/c of long lines and they are scared. Prices have dropped to try to keep people flying, but the fact is noone wants to go through the hastle.

I flew to cancun june 2001, and we all took alcohol, weed, pills with us. My brother went in 2003, and they took his nail clippers.

All im trying to say is there is no 1 reason we were in a recession, but to think the attacks had nothing to do with it is...... well you know what it is...

Were not stealing their oil, were just not letting france have it all while they support an avil dictator.

yeah it is out of control, but kerry has new spending. Yeah billions of dollars could have been saved. But if kerry doesn't get elected, it would seem that I have saved 2 trillion. They are both horrible when it comes to spending, but bush isn't as bad. Kerry is planning on staying in iraq and spending 2 trillion on is nice little socialist agenda.

Ah, I know this will get you mad, but at least Kerry will fund some of his new spending (if indeed it gets passed in the house and senate) with rolling back the tax cut for over $200K income earners (of course, that too has to get passed in the house and senate).

Ah, there the one truth. The candidate can "say" they will do this and that but in reality it has to be passed in the house and senate.
