Bad (recent) experience involving shrooms, Adderall, and weed.

About 2 months ago, i tried shrooms----about 1.5 grams, a normal dose. well it was a bad trip. to this day i have been "seeing" minor things----ceiling tiles breating, curtains shimmering, lines wavering, specks in my eyesight, and floaters. It had just began to fade away a few days ago. i have a script for lortab, so i take pretty often, which affect my "sights" very little. the day b4 yesterday, i took 50mg of Adderall---an amphetamine for u who arent aware. i was feeling AWESOME, a great sense of euphoria, until i took 2 hits of a joint. all of a sudden, my heart is racing at 160 beats per minute and my entire body is growing numb, beginning with my hands and feet. i panic, as expected, fearing that i am having a heartattack. at this point i can hardly breathe and i am very dizzy and about 2 pass out. i would not sit or stand still at the fear of passing out and dying (i was of course very paranoid). after about 10 minutes i began to see the grass breathing on its own and out the corner of my eyes i could see wat seemed to be splashes of water. all the dust on the outside of my car began to pour off of it. i was VERY freaked out. this did not end until 6 hrs later, and still my heart is beating fast every once in a while and i have very small distant pains rite where my heart is. what happened?? any ideas? and should i be worried? pleaz help. thanx.---jason, 19.

I don't know about anyone else, but personally that combo screams fucking panic attack.

The after effects (breathing) is somewhat normal. I have experienced it myself.

50mg of addy is a decent amount especially if it was IR. A racing heart on weed and that much amphetamine isn't too strange. Everyone reacts differently.

If you took 50mg adderall IR on your very first experience....then I must say you should of knew that wouldn't turn out well..

it was Adderall XR. i took 25mg at 7:45 am and then another 25mg at 9:45. peaked at 12:30. then the "panic attack" or watever happened at 3:00.

you take two cardiovascular stimulants and voila, high ass heart beat. 160 is respectfully high. (you probably will be fine, obviously dont do it again )unfortunately it is most likely effected by anxiety as well. this is why i benzo myself into a zombie before i smoke weed or take any amphetamines

how long has your BPM been at 160? you risk damage if it goes on that long, you might want to go to the E.R. so they can give you some beta blockers

you took too much XR. why the hell would you take 2 XR two hours apart.

i am going to get flamed from pandora's box all stars saying they do 50000 mgs of adderall xr a day. I personally think any more than one xr is a bad bad idea. (unless you have a high tolerance, i suppose)

Are you a novice smoker? maybe you're just not used to being that high if so. I did 60mg of adderall in a day, smoking throughout, and have no negative things to say about it, soo idk

oh yeah and what does the bad shroom experience have to do with this?

I've had that happen from putting a bar on a bowl. Didn't like it one bit, but i passed out shortly after.

As the first guy stated sounds just like a panic attack. Panic attacks are pretty common, even with weed, so you should be all right. And of course don't be mixing those two things again.

I've had an experience just like that after taking too much Adderall XR a few years ago. I thought I was about to have a heart attack as well. My eyes were so red it almost looked bloody because my heart was pumping so fast. My vision was starting to get blurry and I thought I was literally on the verge of passing out from a heart attack. But I eventually calmed myself down enough to get myself through it, but now I fucking hate that faggy speed shit. Only downers for me

Adderall and weed is a horrible combo!!!! I just experienced it and I had the most horrendous panic attack ever. Weed is a stimulant and adderall is a stimulant. Put together they give you the worst panic attacks. You think you will die. dont do it!! Do them seperately

Weed is not a stimulant; it's a psychedelic (or "all arounder") with stimulant properties as well as depressant properties.

If you combined the two and had a bad reaction, you either did one of three things:

Took too much adderall, smoked too much weed or both.

The first time I combined weed and speed was one of the best days of my life. That high was damn near insurmountable. I swore I could've conquered the world that day.

But the time I took 100 mgs of speed (w/ a high tolerance) and smoked a cigar stuffed with dank (like a 2.5 g blunt), I started having a panic attack about half way through the cigar.

It took running insides, locking my door and putting tunes on to chill me out.

Yeah, I was in the hospital a couple days ago because of this. I didn't really know much and nowi think about how stupid I was. It was my first time trying adderall, I had a 30mg xr or whatever and 3 10mg pills. I then went and we were just smoking a lot of weed. I got home and that's when it hit. I was litterally going inssane, nothing was real. A family member called 911 and there was paramedics and police and I was yelling at them cussing them out, and I thought t was All a movie. And I was handcuffed to the stretcher by all limbs. It was hotter than hell and I seriously thought I was dead and in hell. There's more to the story but it's kimda hard to type on this iPod. I now have to go to counseling and I'm dropping all drugs. Definatley my worst experience in life

Damn bro, sorry to hear that. I guess you had a bad experience because you smoked when it was your first time on it and took too much. Doing that can cause a lot of paranoia especially when you take a lot for your first time.

I had quite bit of experience with it before I smoked on it.

You could have experienced stimulant psychosis (or amphetamine psychosis). Usually, people experience this after prolonged abuse but in rare cases, it can occur in overdoses temporarily of course.

I think I experienced it somewhat in the above^ mentioned trip.
