Lexapro - Skip this if girl poop bothers you...

So I started my Lexapro again. Taking 10mg daily.

I've avoided most of the side effects except diarrhea. It's sad, really. In the morning I can't help but go blow the toilet up. And when I think I'm done, I'm so wrong because there's at least another time of the day when I catch myself hauling to the bathroom because I'm not sure if it's just a fart or something's going to come sliding out.

I know this is one of the side effects, but that just sucks. I mean, I just woke up and had to go to the bathroom, as usual. I thought it would be just my morning pee. Oh was I wrong.
And on top of that, the toilet got clogged up so imagine how thrilled I was to have to spin around and grab the plunger before the toilet overflowed.

Anyway, if anyone else takes Lexapro, have you experienced this before?

Uhhhhhh, I really do not wanna know that answer......

But, I just did some research on it, and it seems like alot of people face the dreaded D when on lexapro

Yeah, it's a shitty side effect. (pun totally intended)

I've just never been able to say that it's tapered off once my body gets used to it. And let me just say that the cramps associated with said loose poop is horrible.
Just had to get that out.

Yeah...I took a Lexapro one day on accident (didn't have my contacts in, grabbed my old roommate's pill bottle, took his Lexapro instead of my Ativan) and...didn't make it to the bathroom in time

And I was in public. Fuck Lexapro.

Giggled again at all of that, and yeah I know what its like. On some drugs, namely DXM its just horrible Ill spend like 2 hours in the bathroom sometimes on higher doses such as 1.5g+ just like switching sides, either sitting on the toilet, or throwing up into it, sometimes I had to do both at one time, just to get it over with, and don't ask how I did it you do not wanna know.

I've been on Lexapro for a couple of years now, honestly I have the dreaded D a lot...but my doctor says that because of my vegetarian diet it's not very surprising, Vegetarians usually have too much fiber in their diet, and I certainly do.

I use the Ativan to control seizures, so I've never used it recreationally. I hear it's awesome though.

As for having mud butt from DXM and puking at the same time...that's why I moved the trashcan in the bathroom directly in front of the toilet haha. Doesn't happen much anymore, but when it does I'm all set.

My tub and sink are too far away.
You must have had a hell of a projectile arch. Or else it got everywhere.

I love that working in a hospital has totally made me numb to gross stories including blood, piss, poop, pus, etc.

Ah, I'm trying to get my doctor to switch my meds for anxiety. I'm on Lexapro and Xanax right now.
I wonder if he'll try me out on clonazepam or lorazepam because my alprazolam tolerance is pretty high.

Oh, Ive projectiled it out of both ends on dxm, its just about the only drug thats ever done it to me.

And, with my experience on benzos I would say I like clonazepams(klonopins), way more then alprazolam(xanax). The come down is alot nicer, depending on what your useing them for actually, and the high is nicer off them, now if you don't plan to get high off them, I would still suggest them, because the comedown is alot more easy.
