look at it this way guys, if we had no cops there would be chaos... that would be it, yes cops have to bust people doing drugs, its in their job description, but there are cool cops out there... i mean i always say i dont like cops and whatnot but im glad their around... if someon fucking with my shit what am i going to do... kill them and go to jail.. no, get the cops and and they leave.... there is also cool cops who would pull me and my friends over after just smoking... and not do anything... they basically turn the other way... some cops can be assholes and do stupid shit but there are cool ones also.. thanks for any cool cops out there, and the asshole cops (blow me)

message to all tokers who bashed the guy for wanting to be a cop. imagine what life would be like, without ANY law at all. without anyone to "enforce" the law. personally, i'd rather the people behind the flashing lights had been a toker at some point in their life rather than one of the pals of the good ole boys who's been getting tanked every night since they were 14 and running around beating up nerds on the football feild. get what i'm saying? shit guys... I'VE even thought about becoming a cop from time to time. better to have people in the force who have been there done that. yeah? |

Unfortunately, I think all of the cops (except one ) I have run into here in the states must have been the guys that got beat up on the football field. And now they have something to prove. As for ex smoking cops, I don't know about that either. I remember a few cops that came to our school for the 'Just Say No' thing back in the eighties, saying how they were "just like us. They have seen the horrors that smoking pot can do to a person." Kind of like tobacco cigarettes, I don't like to smoke around non-smokers if I can help it. But I would rather smoke around a person who has never smoked, than smoke around an ex-smoker. Ex smokers tend to have that 'better than thou' attitude. While I do agree we need police in society, I don't see how someone could want to enforce a belief or rule that one doesn't agree with. And as for pot smokers busting and sending other pot smokers to jail, I don't even want to get involved in that discussion. In my early twenties, it seemed like the police were trying to make me start into a life of crime. Everytime I turned around, I was getting tickets for anything and everything except real crimes. One Easter Sunday, at 6 a.m., on the way home from working a double, I got a ticket for driving 63 mph in a 55 zone. A friend of mine left a half full bottle of Makers Mark in the back of my car once and I got pulled over for having a busted tail light. They found the bottle and arrested me for breaking the open container law. Charges were dropped but I still had to pay court costs. My car broke down on me in front of my own house, two days later when I had the money to fix it it had been towed. I found a notice that told me the Sheriffs Dept. had determined it an 'abandoned vehicle'. I was hassled for 'loitering' quite a few time while I was just waiting for a girlfriend to get off of work. I could keep going with all the B.S. police have put me through. The only time a cop has done something beneficial for me was once when a truck I had, threw a rod. Two cops helped me push it to the side of the road. Didn't offer any other help. Didn't ask if I needed a tow truck, didn't ask if I needed anything else, just got in their car and left. But at least they helped me push my truck out of the way. Like I said, I do believe we need the police, but I believe power and boredom do not mix well. Give someone power to do anything they want to do, and give them nothing to do, they will find something to do. In our city ( as in most ) the districts that get the better police patroling are the districts that don't need it. The wealthier neighborhoods get the more experienced patrols and more patrols period, than the 'high crime' districts. They seem to get the police that are fresh out of the Acadamy and the vetrans that are about to retire and don't care anymore. I'll say it one more time, I know we need police, but after all they've put me through, it's kind of hard to say I like them. Maybe if they wouldn't have just laughed and just told me "to be more careful" when at 16 I got beat up and mugged by 4 other dudes my attitude would be a little different.

nah misfit, you can defend us when d2000 has gone on a power trip and busted us all. ![]() "I do believe we need the police, but I believe power and boredom do not mix well. Give someone power to do anything they want to do, and give them nothing to do, they will find something to do." i completely know what that is like coming from a quiet little island where rampant alcohol abuse is tollerated like cannabis is tollerated in Holland. as for the rest of what you say amsterdamndreamn, i hear ya, but since we're stuck with "someone's got to do it" i'd still rather it be someone who has seen and lived a little liberty despite the law. ... as long as they are proffesional and realise they are in the service of the public. |

Hey haha, I see a lot of anger! First off, I'd like to whip out a background analysis of myself so that you know right away that I'm not a "fat loser that gets picked on" and nor do I have any need for going on a "power trip." :-p But yeah, I want to be a policeman also. I know that's probably one of the most taboo things to say on a site that revolves around illicit substances, but hey! It's always been an interest of mine. Damn. If COPS is on, I'm at the couch (ironically, I generally find myself with a bong in hand, as well...hmmmm). It just really looks like an awesome job. Yes yes, I recognize the paper work/non-field work involved as well, still seems like something for me. But, unfortunately, I'm quite the drug enthusiast...which doesn't quite work well with this. It kind of points out to me how unfortunate a lot of the laws are. I mean, I'm no criminal! So why should I be void of 'fighting crime, and increasing safety throughout" simply because of rediculous laws regarding marijuana. Hey, maybe I'll figure out some elaborate method of feigning clean urine...but I have no doubt that they take blood. Damn, I'm so confused! Whatever, taking up space now! And your time! Woooooo I'm out.
