How MDMA works

This class of drugs is know as Psychedelic Amphetamines. They are well known for the drug MDMA, sold in pill form as Ecstasy. In its pure form MDMA is a white to light brown crystal, often powdered.

MDxx was first synthesized for use as a therapeutic tool. It was used for years without problems to treat and cure anxiety, depression, stress, emotional issues, etc. It was used in a safe environment with a therapist or psychologist. In the USA alone it was used by over 1000 clinics and therapists.

Recreational use of the drug quickly spread. A case was held to determine where the drug should be classified. Throughout the case evidence was submitted showing that safe and licensed use of MDMA had many benefits for treating illnesses. The judge ruled to classify MDMA as a regulated drug - meaning that use would be allowed (in regulated doses) by a psychiatrist or therapist in a healthy environment. The DEA disregarded this and classified MDMA as Schedule 1 in 1985.

MDMA's uses are many. It destroys anxiety, fear and depression, is very fun as a recreational drug and is a great tool for introspection and spiritual development. It is often believed that ecstasy is very hard on the body and mind. This is not true. No conclusive evidence has shown that recreational use of MDMA causes brain damage or any harm to the body for that matter. What is know is that when you are rolling dopamine can get taken into the 5-HT receptors, where it is then broken down into an acid. This is not good, but can be combated by pre-loading for a roll (more on that later). Basically, responsible and infrequent use of MDMA will not effect you in a negative way. Over use can cause problems in producing serotonin and can cause the receptors to 'turn off'. This means that even though you have a healthy amount of serotonin your body will not be able to use it as fast as it should.

it is important to be safe when using any street drugs, Test kits are cheap and effective at telling what substances you are getting in your product. Never take a pill you are unsure about, unless you enjoy the surprise and dangers that come with dosing unkown drugs.
Always start with a low dose if you aren't sure of the purity or strength. Make sure to stay hydrated, drink as much water as you believe is fit for the circumstance. ie. drink as much as you normally would in that situation; if you're out dancing your ass off stay hydrated but if you're just chilling at home don't really worry about it. Listen to your body.

Dosage:

Oral MDMA Dosages
Threshold 30 mg
Common for small or sensitive people 50 - 75 mg
Common for most people 75 - 125 mg
Common for large or unsensitive people 125 - 175 mg
Required by few (side effects increase) 200 + mg

Onset : 20 - 70 minutes (depending on form and stomach contents)
Duration : 3 - 5 hours
Normal After Effects : up to 24 hours

In my experience it typically lasts more then 5 hours, usually 6 or 7 but I usually don't dose all at once. In my experience I would also say that those doses are a little low.

Oral: There are many ways to orally administer MDxx. You can eat a pill (longer onset), crush it up and gelcap it (fast onset with a fast peak), Parachute it by crushing it into a powder and folding it up inside a tissue or piece of paper (fast onset with a fast peak) or drink it dissolved in water.
In my experience drinking it in water hits the hardest with the highest peak and fastest come up.
Oral administration is fairly effective. Just crush up a pill to get powder or use molly. Dump it in a water bottle with about 1-2 inches of water and shake to mix it up.

Insufflation (snorting): Hits the fastest but doesn't last as long. Good for doing bumps for extending the peak. Crush up into a fine powder and use a rzor or credit card to make lines.

Plugging: The most effective way to dose. Very high absorption rate which means almost all of your product will be used and not wasted. Peak in about 45 minutes. Bypasses the intestinal track and is absorbed directly into the bloodstream. I recommend bypassing the syringe nonsense and putting your powdered pills/molly into a gel cap. Put the gel cap in there up to the second knuckle.

Sublingually: Same effects as plugging. Snap a pill in half and put the pieces under your tongue. You might want to chew the pill, but it's just preference. Let it sit there for 15-30 minutes.
I don't like this method as MDMA is bitter as anything.

IVing: The most effective way to dose. If you don't know how to do it you shouldn't be doing it.
"Downing notes that oral doses administered in therapy are less than 1 per cent of the LD50 (the dose that kills 50 per cent of rats or mice given the drug), implying a high margin of safety."

What does MDxx look like?
Most commonly MDMA comes in pill form, often called beans, rolls, XTC, etc. Pills come in all shapes and sizes, varying in looks and contents from area to area. For this reason online pill identifiers can't guarantee that you have clean pills. Test kits are cheap and help you identify the contents of your rolls. It also comes in a form know as Molly, which is unpressed MDMA, which can look anywhere from an off-white crystal to a brownish powder. Molly is usually cleaner and has less of a risk to be cut with chemicals such as BZP. This is not to say that molly is 100% safe, use caution when dealing with street drugs.

They are being scheduled and many agencies are cracking down on distributers.

Doh! I haven't been able to find anyone in my area with 2cs. I recently came across what this guy was calling DOB, he said it was similar to L but lasted about 18 hours. I didn't end up grabbing it though because I hadn't heard of it and I generally will only buy something if I have done a fair amount of erowid research on it. I ended up finding some ketamine moments later, so I was happy.

I haven't checked erowid for DOB yet, have you any knowledge of it?

EDIT: Just found DOB on erowid. Wish I would have grabbed that instead of the K now >.<

Wrong thread Zepp, but potentiators get the same effects by using less of the drug, aka, make it work more effectively. Eating a mango will increase the effects of your high (easier to cross the blood-brain barrier), as well as switching up your method of consumption, bong, pipes, edibles etc.

DOB is somewhat like an acid trip, lasts longer, and is much more intense of a trip, highly visual for me. It's a very good psych if you know you are taking it and aren't fooled into it thinking that it's LSD.

Okay. Here we go. Had to wrestle with a blowtorch to get this bowl

All my life I was a pretty intellectual guy. Even as a kid I was always asking questions, building things, doing experiments. In my childhood I was a pretty normal I guess. As a teen I began to question things, mainly the fact that weed was so frowned upon, and yet so many of my friends now did it, and I realized it wasn't bad at all. And that's where it began...

I was so intrigued by the psychedelic experience that I first tried shrooms at 15 years old. When people started talking about shrooms, I knew I was down. I did them a few times but basically forgot about them until Senior year in highschool. I decided to dose again, I was 17 I think. I ate 4 grams of the healthiest looking mushrooms I've ever seen. The trip was intense. My thoughts raced as I picked apart my own mind and the entire world, for that matter. So many things were revealed to me, and I knew that they were inside me all along, just waiting for the full potential of my mind to be unleashed.

I live knowing that no matter what we do in life we all end up in the same place. The only thing that really matters is to live life to it's fullest and generally be positive about everything. I'm happy doing anything now. Even small things like washing the dishes aren't chores anymore, I know it has to get done so I might as well enjoy it.

I have pretty complex views on life and death, many theories on the conscious mind, the universe, life, etc. but I won't get into those now. I used to have really bad social anxiety but I conquered it with mushrooms.

I live by my own standards and don't believe we should be forced to live under the laws of what a few hundred people believe is 'right'.

I am at peace with the world, I feel as if we are one.

I have really started devoting my life to spreading the facts and exposing the bullshit. I honestly don't even give a fuck what people think about my drug use. I know the truth, they can choose to ignore it.

I've been to the gates of heaven but also through some hellish experiences.

In the end, psychedelics really help you get to know yourself and the world around you. They remove societies filters and allow you to see from an unbiased perspective. But after that, it's your turn to dig deeper and follow up.

I'm just jealous of all of you who actually have access to psychedelics. I live in a small town and all the people I deal through only have access to weed, crack, meth, and a few pills. The closest thing I've ever had to a psychedelic experience is a dex trip, and few unsuccessful attempts to break through with salvia.

There is no singular meaning of life, it is what you make of it. But in the end, what really matters? The experiences you've gathered and the deeds you've done. So, live it up, chances are 1/4 of your life is already over.

We are all just bacteria, we have no sole purpose other then to live and be free. No ultimate goal or final destination. Just to be and to let go.

Humans for some reason believe they are a higher power -- above all else. That is not true, we are just beasts on this earth and to be anything more then that is sacrilege.

I was just thinking the other day, we have no way to let anyone know how we feel. All we have are basic words with basic meanings and we can't get the point across. The only way would be to pass on your experiences for your meanings to be understood.

But, MDMA really allows me to connect and get things out the way I want them.
